Hey guys. I play the violin and have been carrying it around a lot recently to a few events. I noticed my approach to date ratio (daygame on the streets) increasing if I approach while carrying the violin on my back. Not only will she almost certainly invest by asking about it but now that I think about it it might also signal ambition, passion and skill. You will also drop the risk of coming across as a salesman and thus getting ignored to almost zero.

My sample size of approaches both with and without instruments is large enough to conclude that, for me at least, it has a beneficial effect.

Has anyone experienced this effect? Of course you have to come across as authentic so I do not suggest carrying an empty instrument bag or an instrument you can't play decently.
