At what point do you cut off a text conversation?

What I've been doing, is ALWAYS leaving it off on a high note. Start talking to the girl, blah blah blah get stuff done, then end it before it starts to die out.

The other day I texted the girl I like if she moved down to where I am yet. She says no, she's in the Hospital. So I talked to her for a bit, teased her, then ended it at the highest note possible (That I could think of). I've done this every time I\ve talked to her over the summer, and every conversation ends with HER being the last text. Literally every time she ends it super excited now

When the dialogue is still entertaining for you both but you're beginning to search for things to say... you'll recognise when things are starting to drag on. Ideally though, at this point you should look for an opportunity to arrange to meet up. There's no point wasting time and effort texting a girl you're not looking to see in the short-term. On a good note. See if you can get her to express a sign of interest (whether it be wording, a smiley, or just a straight-forward compliment) and then float to the topic of what she's doing ______, and invite her to whatever you're doing (have something good planned before the conversation even starts), that way you can confirm the meetup and end with a text that says something along the lines of "Cya there!" Remember, when it comes to anything in the world, people may more attention to the beginning/end than the middle. That being said I believe it's a bit more important to end well than to begin well, although both would make an added bonus.

When YOU are no longer interested, she has to be able to keep your attention, even then it's better to interact with her in real life, only text to set up dates or meet up in person.

When you have to start to think of things to say. If you have to try extra hard, then finish the conversation. But make sure you've arranged to meer her before you do that.
