Looks like he’s a professional dude and doesn’t give a damn about you feeling entitled to preferential treatment.
[–]Maximum_Afternoon 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You mean just responsibly doing his job? HERESY! /s
[+]queenbiz -21 points-20 points-19 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I don’t expect a preferential treatment, I expect people to know how to be with people. Emotionally intelligent people are very rare !
The only think I think about him is “I don’t like this dude”. Not “he’s so professional “ no matter how great the gym is.

What’s that ?

The kind of entitled person who thinks she is so special she will remove a thread thinking "everyone else is wrong not me".

Have you ever consider that he's not interested in you? He doesn't care about your job, about your sport routine, about you at all. He's polite and answer when you ask him something, because it's his job, but that's it. He doesn't have to make you conversation, his job is to make sure everything is in order and help people if they have difficulties with a machine. If he's as attractive as you say he is, he probably have lot of women throwing themselves at him on a daily basis, he doesn't have to bother mixing work and pleasure as it often end badly for the dude...
[+]queenbiz -10 points-9 points-8 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh yeah ! He’s very professional but like, he would talk forever aBout him. When he asked me what I was doing for a living, I replied with a short sentence then he did the whole talking. He did Not shortened the conversation like any professional would do. I’m the one who left. This is why I think he’s self centered and don’t find him attractive at all !

Begone, THOT

So you asked this guy about himself TWICE and were surprised when he talked about himself? If he'd hit on you first I might understand your irritation, but that's not the case (from what I'm reading).
Then you complain that he didn't address your gym infraction in an "emotionally intelligent" manner. Was he rude? Did he yell or talk down to you? Perhaps he was curt because he's busy?
Personally, I get the feeling that you think this guy should've been eager to engage with you because you, as a self-proclaimed good looking woman, came up to him first, on more than one occasion. If he's as attractive as you think (that you'd start a convo with him), you can rest assured you're not the only woman to approach him first. On top of that, if he has half a brain in his skull, he knows that trying to pick up women at his place of work is nuts, when he could likely just as easily pick up women at a bar or a club.
Bottom Line: Yeah being attractive isn't "enough".
It's also "too much" when you're self-centered.
[–]queenbiz -5 points-4 points-3 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
He asked me about my job but didn’t really listened to my answer. All he did was talking about what he knew about my job x) . People love talking about themselves !
I never wanted to date him (but he has a great ass). Even the day I joined the gym without talking to him I thought “he’s attractive but has no charisma”. Then when he talked I had the confirmation that he was self centered. This post was more about “it’s not because you are physically attractive that you have nothing else to do “. It was more of an example than me asking for dating advice . I didn’t say “ I want to date this gym dude that always come at me because I break a gym etiquette I’m not even aware of . How can I make him like me”. It was more “this is what can turn off girls even when you are attractive”.
I see that some of you are triggered by my post because it looks like I think I’m Katya Elise Henry and i deserve a special treatment x) which isn’t the case. I wish he could never talk to me and ignore me when I’m at the gym.
[–]XavierMalory 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
No "triggered status" here. I was just pointing out that you might have misinterpreted his reactions and responses based on your own bias.
EDIT: Also you didn't answer any of my questions, so all I can do is assume that you don't know the answers either, which means its completely up to interpretation.
[–]queenbiz -2 points-1 points0 points 7 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
Oh, I thought those were rhetoric questions. My bad! 1) i didn’t like the fact that he talked about himself this much and when he asked me something about my work, he would not listen to what I said but would just keep on talking. Like, he talks a lot to the point it messes up with my rest time x)
2)no he was not rude at all but I think he saw that I didn’t like that he comes at me. He went at the end “other than that, how was your day ?” With a smile. I shortened the convo. He wasn’t busy either because he came to me for that specific matter
3)again , the first time I talked to him I wasn’t hitting on him. I already saw that he had no charisma. But since I train almost daily, I care about engaging with people I see often. I engaged with his less attractive colleague too because I like others to feel great. I’ve been told that I was cold so I try to be friendly with more people regardless of how attractive you are or not :)
And no, I don’t expect him to engage with me (I’m not interested in him even in a friendly way), I just didn’t like the way he comes at me when I do something he doesn’t like. Like, you know the small things you do that make you unlikable by others even when you are polite. He’s totally right to tell me the gym rules I break but he’s bossy and it makes him look arrogant instead of assertive. If that makes sense :)
I don’t know what you mean by “self proclaimed pretty girl”. Some dudes come here to say that they find themselves attractive and no one points it out or call them “self proclaimed hot dude”
Also, I wasn’t saying “I’m Brittany perille he needs to hit on me”. I was just telling that other dude that I found myself attractive and finding dudes to hook up with wasn’t hard (because he said something about it. I just want to clarify this point with the other dude. That it has nothing to do with me feeling entitled to a special treatment because I’ have a squat ass). And I think I’m allowed to have standards regarding the kind of behavior I like around me (wasn’t specific to that dude but more in general. I expect a great personality with friends but also with men I date )
[–]XavierMalory 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You're absolutely allowed to have (reasonable) standards, but a few quick interactions at his place of work might not be the best judge of his character. They're surface-level observations.
I'd suggest an actual coffee date, but as you said you're not interested in him like that, so its pointless.
Actually I guess the best way to sum up this experience is: "Don't judge a book by it's cover." 😉
[–]RedPilledLife 23 points24 points25 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Maybe the dude doesn't like you and your entitled behavior, this whole peace is about me, me, me. What I think, what I expect, blah blah blah, looks like you're going to get ghosted soon by him and by just reading this post, who can blame him?
[+]queenbiz -10 points-9 points-8 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Oh I’m not interested in dating him at all. I don’t even know his name and don’t want to know x)
He’s physically attractive when you see him the first time but this is where it stops. He has 0 charisma.
This post was just regarding the dudes I see here thinking that being attractive would make all the girls be crazy about them but don’t invest on their personality
[–]RedPilledLife 30 points31 points32 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
But why would a dude change his complete personality just to appease you??
Un Fucking Believable
This gentlemen, this is hypergamy at its finest, a dude has to change his complete personality so that miss Brittany Perille might be interested, she doesn't give a shit if the dude is totally happy with being himself, no HE has to change.
My lord...
[–]Maximum_Afternoon 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Change their personality AFTER already putting in years of work at the gym. Christ is it ever enough???
[–]Upyourasstoday 9 points10 points11 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
"Like today, he greeted me when I arrived and then came at me to ask me to remove the weights from the smith machine because I didn’t do it the other day (I didn’t know that we had to remove plates from the bar when we are done. Most people leave them I think ). "
Yeah, putting things you bring out back to where you found it, so other people don't have to clean up your mess, is so inconsiderate and such a turn off.
You are a special kind of stupid aren't you.
" This isn’t how you correct a behavior without triggering people."
???? Serious, so if a police officer intervened you from breaking the law, and you felt triggered, would you give the police officer the same bullshit?
Again, you really are a special kind of stupid.

Rack. Your. Weights.
100% chance this is posted on the wall somewhere there.

Yea.. Like a baby crying after taking a shit. She is a grown woman not behaving like one and have no proper gym etiquette.
[–]traceviral 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Being extremely friendly isn't enough either. Hundreds of girls i've introfuced myself to think i am friendly. Any of them think i am dateable? No. Bring attractive is enough, anyone that says otherwise doesn't get that attractive men and women have people that want to date them.
[+]queenbiz -6 points-5 points-4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I totally agree! Being nice has never been the answer. Being assertive is!
I’m a girl (with an extremely fitbody (think Brittany perille on IG (and a different face obviously) and a brain) so it’s not like Finding dudes to hook up with was hard. I have high standards when it comes to the personality. I truly like having nice interactions etc not just seeing your pretty face. Remember, we are a bit more cerebral. I don’t have to accept any behavior because you are attractive. If you are rude you are rude. Being hot won’t change it.
I know a few dudes who know that they aren’t attractive but rely on their amazing personality to score with girls and they do. When you know where your strengths and weaknesses are you become attractive. What do you think of yourself ? If you think “ I’m not the hottest but I still get the girls I want” then you will score. In life attitude is everything. And remember girls are more cerebral than men when it comes to attraction. You need to trigger emotions .
[–]traceviral 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Im too autsitic for that. I have too much on my plate so i guess that makes me an asshole for approaching girls with zero charm or personality or looks.
Curious why you say attitude is everything. Girls that hate all men have boyfriends.

Love how the entitled snowflake removed her whining when people weren't sympathetic towards her need of special treatment.
