Ok. I am not friendzoned (or maybe I am, but I don't see them attractive myself). My question stems out of curiosity.

Yes, some of you might say that "friendzone" doesn't exist. Let's call it "No sex zone". Yes, the general consensus here is that she is not attracted to the man for various reasons including but not limited to:

the man demonstrating lower SMV the man playing it too safe and not initiating man to woman conversation the man being too needy and clingy the man being oblivious to her flirting etc.

Sometimes men find women attractive immediately but don't act on it and eventually get themselves into "no sex zone" but sometimes they get attracted later and they still end up there. I have had at least 4 women that I did not find attractive at first and it took me weeks or months of multiple meetings (not dates) to finally like them (mentally and physically). Of course it was too late then. No problem. But it seems like women are constantly on the prowl and every man gets immediately categorized into "sex/relationship" or "no sex/relationship zones". I am not talking about pre qualification process when you judge a random person of opposite sex. I am talking about acquaintances. It is like they don't allow themselves to have more time with decision making and just look for the next man. The only exception is when she sees your SMV and social status growing massively then she will have second thoughts. If you acted with your present social status and SMV you might have scored but as you did not, you now have to raise it up. Why is that?
