What's your payoff for being weird and doing "immature" things? Are you trying to be a jester, and make lots of jokes so people will laugh and have fun? Are you trying to get people to like you? You may be trying too hard.

I would definitly consider getting serious once in a while. like for example say Joke > Joke > Serious (IE so how do you guys know each other or what do you do anyways?)

I don't think it will net you mass appeal with the ladies, weirdness isn't a trait that get the average gal wet. So, if racking up numbers if your objective, I'd say cut it out.

But there are girls out there who would be attracted to your style of communication. Keep at it, be confident/unapologetic about it, and you will find them.

Just different options depending on what you want/need/are able to do.

There's a time to be funny and a time to be serious... I am no expert, but this is what I have picked up on from videos and my own experience. If your always joking around then a girl won't know when to take you seriously (derr) You need to build attraction by 1. being funny 2. confident 3. valuable ...etc You lose value when you cannot be taken seriously, yes?

All you have to do is gauge when to tone down on being the funny guy (after she's hooked) and when to switch to seductive/mysterious guy. Let her invest herself in the convo for a while you use your body language and listening skills to demonstrate your value and interest (all without cracking a joke after every statement).

Depends. I view "weird" as having potentially creepy connotations. You don't want to be saying "stupid (immature?) things" to someone whom you're hitting on. Joking around is fine, but too light and joke-y an atmosphere makes you either creepy weird or like an adorable and completely safe little brother (i.e. a friend, not a potential mate).

How does one avoid it when he has run out of ideas/ways to keep the conversation going and we are sitting with the girl in silence?

Conversation threading will help you avoid the silences.

Sometimes people accuse me of being weird . I always own it. My usual reply is something along the lines of "Yep! I know, how awesome is it!"

However, I'm not usually coming from a place where I am forcing jokes to fill silences. I am actually quite comfortable with silence. You should be too.

Joke around, but qualify and build comfort. If you don't slack up and be real and serious about some deeper human qualities, then you're fitting into the dancing monkey role.

When things aren't funny, don't force "fun" onto people. Sometimes less "PUA" stuff is more -- when the situation isnt appropriate, you gotta be real with people about mundane things.

You should have a "normal" enough life to talk about a wide range of feelings; not just a "one trick pony" of making everything funny or playful all the time.

Talk about what people are passionate about, things they like, and vibe with them about it. It's comfort :)
