Have a date with someone who I'm pretty interested in and I want it to go well. All my first dates so far I've just been winging it and learning from experience, but a little guidance could help a lot.

1— I like to show up early and secure a spot for us.. just not sure if I should get a table, a booth, or sit at the bar? Should I get my drink first and just chill until she arrives? Should I text her where I'm at and let her find me, or have her text me when she arrives and go meet her at the entrance?

I feel like bar is the best so we can be next to eachother, but if the bar is full, a table where we can sit diagonal is better than a booth being across from eachother?

2— Should I bother with an appetizer? I will probably be hungry and it will help soak the alcohol, but I tend to put too much attention on the meal, and don't really feel good about eating on a first date, but idk, if im hungry/buzzed it seems essential.

3— The talking part is fine, get her talking about herself and tease her a bit, touch her arm a little if context allows for it naturally, but then when do I ask for the check, especially if we're vibing good? Have a set time to end it regardless?

4— When we leave, should I offer to walk her to her car? Should I just huge if I'm iffy on the kiss, or just go for the kiss goodbye? Should I mention that I'd like to see her again and find out when she's free? Should I set up the activity/ date then and there, or just find when she's free and plan the date later?

5— Texting afterwards, I'd like her to let me know she got home safe, but after that, how often to text her? If she's gone on a trip for a little bit, how much should I stay in touch?

Thanks in advance everyone, I'm still learning, and have no problem learning from experience, but I want this one to go a bit smoother than the others where Ive just winged it.
