I’ve been in this subreddit for almost 10 years and whenever cold approach gets brought up it polarizes the comment section. This is because it is very contextual. Some girls don’t like it and some girls do. The same approach to two girls may create completely different reactions since people are different.

  1. Make sure to do it in a way where both people can be comfortable and are able to leave the conversation. For example a coffee shop works because the other person can stand up and leave right away if they are uninterested.

  2. Tell the girl that you’ll only have a few minutes to chat and then you’ll go on with your way or meet with your friends. This helps tell the girl that you’re not going to hover around. Number or not both you and the girl can get to know each other if interested and then get back to whatever you’re doing.

  3. Talk to them like you would a friend with occasional flirting.
