I look at a certain girl that I'd like to talk to and give myself 3-60 seconds to visualize the conversation. (I'm up for polite discussion about how the three-second rule should only be mandatory to beginners who over-think).

I've done around 150 cold approaches now, so that's why this works for me. I've been rudely ignored only a few times ever in the day.

When you realize 98-99% of the population is going to welcome ANY conversation, you're golden. People are literally starving for conversation, especially interesting conversation in the daytime. People are on their cell phones checking Facebook. They're bored. Be interesting, confident, and non-needy and you're set.

When I approach, I say, "Hi" and they look shocked for a moment. After I say the purpose, I notice their face calm down and smile. You have now given yourself a chance to make a friend or get a date or whatever you want to do.

Here's one example to prove how simple it could be: "Hi" She looks at me surprised "Your shirt is cool. I'm going to guess [store name] Her: "Yes, you're good." OR "No, it's [another store name]." Me: "Oh okay. That was my other guess." She laughs --> Comment about fashion from your store or her store --> etc.

That's all it took.

(And for touch: Give a high-five when she agrees to something cool you just said.)

I chat with everybody. The extroverts will usually help you out. As for the introverts, keep talking.
