Everybody shits on compliments, probably making them underrated at this point. Nobody wants to put themselves out there and thinks that every girl is getting complimented all the time. Oh contrair my good friend.

I think that girls rarely get as many compliments as you think they do (unless you’re chasing Insta famous girls) because most guys are just as pussy as you are to put themselves out their.

Just recently I said something sort of nice, but I wasn’t sure how’d she take it and I didn’t intend it as a compliment, but I think it reached her that way. I had a moment and it hit me, “Have I forgotten about compliments?” I then tried it on another girl. Success. We have a date coming up. Granted we already got along but I think this helped.

A perfectly picked compliment, really puts yourself out there, it says: “Hey, I like you.” (Metaphorically). It’s brave. It makes others feel better about themselves, and probably better about you too.

On a side note, guys complain that they don’t get complimented enough, but when have you complimented you guy friends? Too many people have issues with that, but why don’t you be the change that you want to see in the world. I do it sometimes, and it’s great.

Then after the compliment, girls won’t be surprised when you ask them out. It won’t be a, “Woah, I didn’t see that one coming and was taken aback.” Which I think has happened to me before.

It helps to have talked to her a bit before hand of course, but it’s not necessary. Just that if you straight up open with a compliment and then ask her out that might be a bit much, but I’ve heard it’s worked with some.

Complimenting really sets the stage for an invitation to date night. And in my opinion, recently I’ve been hearing all this talk about “guys not putting in the work.” So I think that this one gesture really shows how you feel and they’d appreciate it and warm up to you because there’s always so much uncertainty when you’re talking to a girl who doesn’t know exactly how you feel about her.
