I think that a lot of suggestions on /r/seduction are tactics, and not strategy. As sun tzu puts it: Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.

this is really true. I started pushing myself to approach and stopped being a keyboard jockey a month ago and i am getting so much better.

That being said, I have a friend who has taken getting experience too far -- he's been in korea for a year, "stopped reading pua material because i read it all", done over a thousand day game approaches but has not gotten laid or even a relationship.

He's amazing at opening since he's done it so much but because he hasn't combined experience with feedback and study he has glaring flaws in his game.

That's a ridiculous notion. Without some theory or map you're back to square one - not getting laid. There's no way I could have achieved the kind of success I have in a short amount of time without all that "theory" that I'm supposed to disregard. Did I go out and talk to women? Yes. But if I would have gone out and talked to women not knowing what I knew I would have been MUCH less successful, if at all.

theory on its own is useless. However, action without theory gives results that are so slow as to be negligible, unless you're lucky enough to have discovered the proper patterns accidentally.

action + theory = win.

take said win and multiply it by more action and theory. win(action+theory) = personalized theory that you developed and fits you = win²
