Sounds like he would be a great resource. Spend time with him, take mental notes and learn from what he does. Then put those notes into action yourself. This sort of stuff isn't ethical or unethical. Its just the way the world works, its nature. If you don't use it to your advantage, someone else will, and he will win.

Hmmm. You can try doing a little bit of resistance and assertiveness at a time. If he says, hey, let's go out, you can say naw, I'm gonna stay in today and be lazy. Then tell him you might want to go out later and to call you back in three hours. You may end up going out anyway but at least you would've pushed back a little. You need to get comfortable with the feeling of pushing back. This is a small way to do it. Keep up, and you'll get better over time. Worked for me.

Read the power of now. Tolle teaches an idea of becoming the observer. He directs this towards eliminating thoughts, but I use it whenever I feel myself start to seek approval from another person. Helps cut that shit out.

Otherwise gradually acclimate yourself to resisting him. While simultaneously focusing on improving yourself.

You don't deal with Alphas. They deal with you. It's your choice whether or not to engage with them. I suggest you don't.

You said he treats you poorly. If he does something you don't like, call him out on it. He is not different from any other person.

Hard to tell from the post, but I'm assuming that you are a female.

There is no such thing as alpha. You just have one-itis. For every woman like you, there are a million men who are being unduly submissive to someone who just isn't into them. The answer is the same for both sexes: he/she is just not that into you. Move on.
