Men generally expect women to bring up the relationship status chat so go for it! And if you feel the need ask why still on dating apps. If you can’t ask open and honest questions and expect open and honest answers then it might not be headed longer term. Just my 2 cents

You need to ask him directly. It’s possible that he just wants to be with you and not put a label. Also possible that he enjoys your company and having you as a friend and lover but he doesn’t want to settle he wants to keep his options open. Maybe he hates how stifling monogamy is. There’s no way to get a solid answer without asking the man directly.

From my perspective there's a good chance he has some self doubt and probably has been burned pretty badly in past relationships. Definitely ask him about his past if you haven't already and see if he tells you about anything he's been through. It can be really hard to believe in yourself if you've been belittled and shut down time and time again in the past. But that's more my story and not his. I would definitely be bold here and say you want a labeled real relationship, and that you really really like him

Communicate more. Forget about labels and generalities. Talk about specific feelings, behaviors, and expectations. Probably multiple conversations of significant depth.
When you have a good feel for how he sees things, then decide whether you want what he's offering.

Is it okay for you if he sees other people? If so, then just keep it like it is, or maybe ask if he wants an open relationship
If it bothers you that he sees other people, tell him and see if he values you more than random hookups.

This guy seems confused and afraid of the label of committment. You need to have an honest conversation about how you feel, what you want and ask him what he wants.
If he can't give you straight answers and be clear on where you guys stand by the end of it, it's time to 'break up'. He's clearly is too immature. This has run it's course and will get messy. You've done pretty much everything couples will do besides move in together at this point. He's not a baby, he's a grown man, he should be able to tell you.

I think he likes the girlfriend experience but still wants to see what else is out there/thinks he can do better.

Listen, we can’t tell you in a subreddit how to psychoanalyze the guy and guess what he’s thinking. One big problem is we don’t know him in the first person. Like I told many of the guys here, you’re going to need to grow a pair. If you intend to have a committed relationship with him, you need to be clear about those intentions. If after three months of seeing you every day he up and leaves, at least you would know now instead of having your head stuck in the sand. Avoiding reality has about 0% chance of ending in a relationship. Maybe tell him that you don’t want to see anybody else for the foreseeable future and see what he says about that. not being honest about what you want is not going to make him want something that he doesn’t want. But with him hanging out with you that much, I have a feeling your chances are pretty good. Grow a pair 😉

Very simple. Tell him. leave the ball in his court and you’ll get the answer you want. Men don’t play games with women they really want

Try pulling away and see if he tries to make an effort. You’ll get a hint.
Then if he does, communicate in a calibrated way.
Then based on the response, you can escalate or pull-off the set.

You need to express to him that you'd like an exclusive relationship, because it sounds like you haven't yet and his dating app behavior is eating away at you.
I know if FEELS like a relationship but you have to have the courage to express exactly what you want (an exclusive, monogamous relationship, by the sounds of it) and let the chips fall where they may. Having that conversation will be a win-win, you either become official or you get to see his explanation for not wanting a relationship, which will tell you a lot about him (both good and bad things).
He clearly likes you though with how emotionally invested he is, so I wouldn't worry about scaring him off with this conversation -- y'all have been seeing each other every day and he's introduced you to his family, it's time to become official.

This sounds more like something you need to talk with him rather than in a reddit post

All of these responses are great and very helpful. Yes it’s very important to be forthcoming about how i you is feel about each other. It also equally imperative to not get weighed down by “labels” if it feels right go with it. And let the beauty of an organic union flourish. We men are often in our heads trying to quantify what often can’t be or what is beyond our understanding. He cares enough to spend all those moments and create all those memories, then embrace each other in the silence of surety and just love each other. Not Eros love but agape . I wish you both the best and hope this helps your journey

Stop being obsessed with a label and what other people think .. stop caring about what hes doing ... be more confident in yourself and go with the flow .. enjoy things as they are
