I would say you definitely get it. We’re all visual creatures and we’re attracted to what we like. Everything is based on that initial attraction and if the person you’re attracted to isn’t attracted to you then it’s all a loss. Women that claim looks aren’t important are full of shit. Yes, if Pitt is not socially calibrated and she is in the wrong state. I know enough good looking guys to have the comparison. They have it easier with women, yes, but they get rejections and get ghosted too.

In your exemplary scenario, where the woman runs off, it mostly comes down to two variables:

the state she is in. If she is in the wrong state, the best looking guy can't snap her out of it.
whether he acts socially calibrated. The best looking guy will have no chance if he acts creepy. In contrast to that a woman will treat a guy completely normal if acts socially calibrated, even if she is not attracted to him. He will have no chance, but the interaction will be friendly.
Brad Pitt is not just his bodily looks, it's also about his style, his status and his charming behaviour.

I have experienced this first hand, i have gone from balding ugly, to good looking to ugly again. The way women treat me is so different.

No one would deny that your looks help you. But to a large degree that all is caused because you feel different and act different as a result. A different chain reaction of events is set into motion.

Yeah bro I literally do know a guy who's like 5'2", looks like a kidney bean. But the first time I walked into a bar with him, 15 minutes later he's at a table with 3 other women. He probably used his small size to his advantage, it's what I woulda done. In high school, I had this ugly ass afro but it was a jumping off point. Girls loved that fucking thing because I loved it and I let you know it.

The thing about these exceptions is that they didn't have women running up to them in high school. I've got a friend who's autistic so he's got zero game. Nada. However because he's autistic and has no problem with repetitive boring stuff like workouts and diets, he managed to build up a really good body. 8% body fat, absolutely shredded.. he gets looks from women everytime we're outside. I've heard from girls that they absolutely DO wanna fuck him.

However - he still hasn't had sex. He just can't talk to women at all. He freezes up, he's awkward.. He built that body up thinking women would fall into his lap themselves and he wouldn't have to do anything and yet, after all that work no luck.

Keep working on yourself. Having a decent job, home, social life, being physically and socially healthy, having a healthy attitude is attractive too. Those things really open up your opportunities.
Don't spiral. Don't dwell on things not working, don't be a jerk.
I've got to expand on the don't be a jerk thing. Even if it's not a great date/fling/relatiinship, be a good guy to women. They talk to each other and definitely give the thumbs up or thumbs down. They have friends. If you show one woman how good you can make it... she's probably going to want to get married. If you break up with care and aren't a jerk, she's still not going to talk bad about you. In fact she will probably have told all her friends about how great you are. Anyway, it really pays to not be a jerk.

It doesn't work like that. Like guys are attracted or uninterested for someone under a few seconds but girls attraction is different. The more they spend time with you the more attracted they become. So ofc looks do matter, it's always gonna be but it's just one part of the attraction. You might see guys anywhere when they have a way more attractive gf then they actually are, I'm the same a lil bit in terms of looks I'm like a 6 so a bit above average but I sleep with girls way out of my league simply why and how? Because of my personality and my game. That's pretty much it.
