Overthinking is the worst thing. The more you spend thinking about what to say/what to use, the more needy you’re being. Nothing wrong with using an emoji or a lol sparingly. Don’t overthink, keep it relatively simple, but don’t be afraid to use an emoji

I don’t use emojis until I’ve smashed OR she uses ALOT like “that’s so funny😂😂😂😂😂😂” then I’ll be like 😅yeah
But after I’ve smashed then I just use them however I feel. It’s like a new level of intimacy, sounds dumb but for women they pick of up on these small differences.

I’m super expressive. I use emojis to emphasize a joke or to convey emotion. But I’m also naturally funny and flirty. Doesn’t matter what you use. Find out what fits your style

It depends, lol isn’t a problem.
It’s when you over use emojis and it’s hard to tell whether you are a guy or a girl texting. Men are not as expressive as women so being that expressive over text feels weird and not very masculine.
Specially when you use these ones: 🥰😊😘🥺🤭🙈💕💖❤️
Just basically it’s better overall for men to be more dry over texts.

Your goal on text isn’t to entertain her as much as to be like a rock. When I text my guy friend who uses periods at the end of every text it’s not exciting, but he feels very sure of himself. Imagine James Bond texting.
Disclaimer though that this is only one way to go. You can go the emoji way and some girls will eat it up.

I feel like the whole “waiting 3-4 days to text, only use the phone to set up dates” like all this shit is so outdated. So while you set up a date 2 days in advance you realize these girls are getting attention from other guys right? You have to use texting /snap as a tool to build attraction. Especially before the date. The times I’ve tried to not communicate before the date it’s (not always) but several times have led to flakes.
Use all the tools in your toolbox to build attraction.

I would say that's a question of you knowing what is seductive on you as a person and using it effectively. I don't honestly believe there are good ways how to build good attraction by texting, or at least, it shouldn't.
But that doesn't mean you don't write and that you are silent, it's just about balancing between some "casual" texting, just to be in contact, and letting the real good topics in reserve for the real conversation because that's when the true fun can begin and nothing surpasses the power of it.

The phone is for setting dates

I like Corey Waynes view of using the phone/text and its always what worked best for me...don't. Only use it to set up dates. If she won't meet in person you are being used for validation or in her friend zone. Don't get me wrong, if your text game is badass, you can advance with it. But if you are asking about it, its not.
There are a lot of advantages to minimal phone contact. It keeps you from appearing clingy or too eager. It conceals your intentions thus providing a bit of mystery. If you spend too much time getting to know her over text, youll have less to discuss on your dates. Also by texting often you are just like her other orbiters. Just not doing that sets you apart. Also, when you get her number wait a 3-4 days then use it to set a date, you sub-communicate you are at a no BS level. And if she agrees and you set a date, by not texting in the interim, you sub-communicate that you expect her to show up.

That's retarded why would you wait 3-4 days, just text lol
[–]Nerdlinger42 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Lol "I know the cool kids thing is to wait 3 days before texting, but I'll be straightforward and let you know I'd love to get together sometime" is far more authentic.

This guy gets it. Maybe would wait like 2-3 days but same idea. If you want to “ping value”, then use snap.

I doubt either of you gets laid on a regular basis.

Ouch lol

You should only be texting to set up dates. Unless you in a relationship then use whatever emojis you want because that shouldn’t be a dealbreaker
[–]TonyGoodz 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The answer is prob a bit age dependant
[–]MattPruga 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
emojis are ok if u use them 1/10 messages, no big deal lol
[–]U1tra1ightBeam 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I use a lot of emojis and it sometimes weirds me out when the guy doesn’t use any. First of all it can (but not necessarily) seem like they’re boring, but also at one point I notice the difference and I might become a bit less expressive myself. So I’d say that if a girl uses them, do the same but to a slightly smaller extent.
Just wanted to add as a response to some of the other comments: texting is not just for setting up a date. Many girls want to get to know the guy a little bit before meeting up for several reasons such as, but not limited to, actual safety and to avoid wasting time on someone they have absolutely nothing in common with. I am aware that there are guys who would rather die than accept this, but to those who are unsure: it’s not a bad idea to text beforehand. Unless you are terrible at texting and awesome in real life - then it’s a different story.

Don't overthink it. I know, easier said than done, but I feel like if someone is judging you because of the way you prefer to speak or text, that's THEIR problem and not yours.
Personally, I like it when people use haha, lol, or :). I do that a lot, so that's probably why. It's hard to know what someone means when they text, so something short could come off as rude if someone took it the wrong way. Idk texting is annoying, haha.
I just hope you find people that are not silly enough to judge your character based off an emoji!
