Well, it’s a subjective thing. I got several icebreakers with bartender girls because of this. When you ask for a non-alcoholic drink, they usually manifest the weirdness of this in a way or another (they tell a joke, they make some smirk), that’s where you can throw some joke or witty line.

Nah man, people who think you need alcohol to be confident with women are beta as fuck! Just be completely confident in your opinion. Don’t budge or act embarrassed when telling them about it. Yeah it's weird.
You go to a club and you drink and drink and dance. Idk why anyone would tell you otherwise but drinking is absolutely crucial imo because not only it lowers your inhibition but also you become more trustable. How are you going to buy a lady her drink if you don't drink yourself? That looks creepy as hell and the only way someone would go home with you from the club is if they're at least mildly intoxicated and horny.
Not drinking is a choice, but don't be surprised when you have zero success
