You are right but there must be a solution for ugly and broke guys.
The solution is to take care of yourself as much as possible, wear nice clothes and be friendly and polite. Even if you are ugly like hell, if you have a nice haircut and you are dressed well, it is good (the clothes must be clean and well-fitted for you, it is no need to be expensive) and don't wait until arrives the right moment. Even if you are overweight do not wait until the end of the year and maybe you will look better, it doesn't matter, just go now and talk to people.
