[–]RichExplorer2022 28 points29 points30 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
She’s open to something
[–]rcollinsmac 27 points28 points29 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
She’s being adult, engaging in general polite convo. nothing more!
[–]BigZmultiverse 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It could be one. Or the other!
[+]rcollinsmac -6 points-5 points-4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She has given you no reason to approach her in any manner other than professional!
[–]putcoolusernamehere 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You don't know that. The above poster doesn't know what they said is true either. None of us know, other than maybe OP. The bigger question is why would OP risk his job to get laid? That's not something someone with an abundance mentality would do, unless they just don't care about the job.

Your looking at the blow back from his point of view! Remember if he is thinking incorrectly, he can take down her career too! We Come In Peace, But We Mean Business!

we will need a bit more detail. Older women have figured things out, and their flirting is intentionally designed to look like small talk. But at the same time, it could actally just be small talk depending what she's saying.

If she’s not flirting then leave it

I understand 1 , but why 2 and 3? I get it’s a big age difference but if both parties just were looking for fun how does the age play in to part in your mind.
[–]knowthetruthh -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
That age spread is an evolutionary dead end
+ younger women are usually more fun
+ younger women are usually prettier
At the end of the day do whatever you want to do.

I think it's just highly likely you're looking for different things. If you talked to her before hand and knew she's down for a fling, then it's ok, but you don't want to be getting into a serious relationship with someone twice your age.
But also to the other guy's point, enjoy dating college-aged girls while you still can. They are a fun time, and even by the time you are 25 it gets harder to date them.
[–]Amkg2020 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No way older women are the cream of the crop 😆 less dates more sex etc also work is nit the best place but it's not the worst either if you know what I mean

Ask her to go out for a drink, let her take the lead, don't say anything stupid. Good luck.

Ask her for a drink out
[–]AMessiLeonard 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah ask her for a coffee or something still formal and gauge her interest first then try going for drinks from there
[–]putcoolusernamehere 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
She's a coworker who's twice his age. Unless he really doesn't give a shit about the job, he should just stay professional w/ her.
[–]Khec 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Never been fired for asking someone out for coffee/drink

Do not shit where you eat

Lmao I love this phrase. Literally use it all the time when I hear someone catching feelings for someone else at work.
[–]nativebound 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
She’s a mature woman, shoot your shot
[+]rcollinsmac -16 points-15 points-14 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
We hate that shit, whether it’s from a older or younger males! She has given you No reason to talk with her in a different manner other than professional to professional! And the moment that crap comes out of your mouth, we noted it and walk away!

[–]carloshps16 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This could only be a short term fling
When you will be 30 she will be 50 so... don't have long term expectations
And also: shit can hit the fan very easily if u have something with a co worker
[–]Woujo 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
2 things:
1) Don't shit where you eat. Unless you are ok with getting fired (or even taking a sexual harassment charge) you should never start a relationship with somebody you are working with.
2) "Indicators of Interest" are bullshit. If you like somebody, you should just go for it and stop trying to read their mind and figure out if they like you.
But again, Rule #2 is irrelevant because of Rule #1.

Does she have a ring on her finger?
These workplace situations are pretty simple. If you give a shit about the job, just leave it alone. How can you have an abundance mentality when you're willing to risk your job to get laid? Go talk to the thousands of women you can hit on all day with zero social/career repercussions.
If you don't give a shit about the job, make a move, but be as subtle as possible.
[–]knowthetruthh 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Facts. LOL.
No harm asking her for a drink if you like her shoot your shot
[–]RSNK10 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is just my take. Yes, she’s older and more likely to be direct, but she’s still a woman and won’t ask you out directly. If she’s striking up conversations with you out of the blue, she’s probably doing it in hopes that you’ll take the hint. Try to bump up from the small talk and ask her what her plans are or something that might gauge her interest. That’s all that can really be said, other than be careful with co-workers
