In short, no not all women 18-24 will have daddy issues. There’s plenty of women in this age range that are mentally healthy individuals.

This doesn’t mean you’re out of the clear though. The problem you’ll have at 40 is that 99% of girls 18-24 who are at all mature will look at you as a creep and want nothing to do with you. As they are much more interested in men their age. They are at a stage where they are going to college and meeting lots of people and developing sexual experiences with people in similar situations(age, new freedom, new shared experiences)

What you’re left with is the women that aren’t interested in this for whatever their reason may be. It may be that they’ve developed much younger sexually and the idea of having a novice partner doesn’t interest them. It could be a host of reasons. The reality is though that there are very very few of these women in the world. Your chances of finding one are slim to none. That’s just the reality of it.

What you will find though is women 18-25 who find you attractive but there’s a decent chance it’s going to be a similar interaction as what you have now. They aren’t specifically “daddy issues” which I think is a pretty crude way of describing what in reality is actually underdevelopment and lack of life experience.

There’s very little chance that an 18 year old can in any meaningful way relate to a 40 year old (in a relationship) simply due to time spent alive. The 40 year old will have a history of breakups, heart break, potentially abusive past partners, long stretches of being single. The 18 has none of this. They’ve not really experienced anything except maybe a high school breakup. And when you look back on those as an adult you realize how insignificant they are.

They are at a point of learning what is right and wrong in relationships in the real world. So it’s unsurprising that they would act out. The same way a child acts out when it is presented with things for the first time that it is unfamiliar with.

What you essentially want, whether you want to admit it to yourself or not, is a underdeveloped girl who isn’t going to argue you with and let you have your way without too much effort. You say you don’t think you’ll be attracted to women your age when you’re older but there is no way to know this until you’re actually older.

You’ve clearly been convinced by something (probably porn) that 18-22 year olds are the hottest little fuck toys about. Unfortunately the reality of that is that most “18” yearold porn starts are closer too 24-27.

So no, not all women aged 18-24 have daddy issues. However the ones that don’t will be too busy fucking college guys who are hottest cooler and more fun than a 40 year old trying to pick up girls at their high school graduation.

Whole lot of judgy people here today. It's not really an age difference that indicates an issue. If you were 50 you could find plenty of well adjusted 30 year old women who would date you assuming you had something to offer.

I'm assuming you live in west, so there's a taboo for really young girls to date older guys. The ones willing to plow through social pressure tend to have the daddy issues. Anecdotally, once women get to around 25 they stop caring about age and go for quality first. So if you're 30, 40, whatever, I wouldn't suggest going younger than 25 unless she's from a different culture where it's more accepted. You can see even in this thread the shaming tactics that the younger ones would get.

Last 3 girls I've dated have been mid 20s. I'm approaching mid 40s. In short, no. They've all been pretty smart and well balanced.

Not interested in women my age, they're boring or too serious, therefore they'll will look down upon me or see me as old news for having a "lighter" way of looking at relationships. Ironically I like them sexually, but nothing more. The relationship feels like having another mom instead of a partner.

First off, everyone has daddy issues. Secondly, you admitted that your ex-girlfriend dumped and blocked you because you texted her something that pissed her off. That has nothing to do with daddy issues. That’s someone who got sick of you being an asshole. And the fact that you use language to minimize what it was or how bad it was means it was probably worse than you’re letting on and definitely not the first time. Maybe you did have to walk on eggshells as well, but you’re letting on that you did a lot to piss her off and you still think it was her fault or “daddy issues” and not anything you did because you clearly lack any self-awareness. You’re obviously looking for simple answers and an easy scapegoat because you don’t understand nuance. So no, none of that is daddy issues.

As for your idea that you’re going to date someone who’s as young as 18 when you’re 40, that says a lot about you and nothing about them or any issues. Men who do that are almost always too immature to date women closer to their own age, want to control someone who doesn’t know any better, and would be impressionable to someone older and who seems more mature (but is really just a man child). On top of that, you sound like a total fucking creep even just suggesting this. And this really fits the pattern you just described with your ex. She wouldn’t just put up with your shitty behavior in silence, so now your answer is “I need someone who’s way too young to know better and would assume I know better because I’m older.” And either they would stay with you and be miserable or would eventually get wise and leave your ass.

I heard this formula for older guys that are trying to date younger girls. So you take your age (40) you divide it by (2) and add (7) and boom that’s the age of the younger girls you should be dating (27). If a girl can ask for her own alcoholic beverage, as an adult you shouldn’t be dating her.
