Just keep cool. Act like nothing happened almost. She might change her mind. Don’t be weird.

I am hopeful, i thought it would be kinda of soul crusher to me but nah it just doesn't hurt.
[–]iiexistenzeii 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Don't be hopeful... Let go. Move on. If she comes, that might be a bonus, don't hope for it.
[–]goldenhunter55 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No I am hopeful in general.
[–]jam-unam 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
For sure don’t sweat It, just keep being nice and treat her like any other person in your life.

This is key, you’ll respect yourself more for behaving like a chad as well
[+]cormacru999 -7 points-6 points-5 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
The funniest thing about men who use the term chad, is that's its doubly ridiculous. Because there are not alpha males. Even the idea that an alpha, based on the idea that the alpha male wolf is the hardcore, cool, tough leader of the wolf pack is based on a toxic misunderstanding of how wolf packs operate. A health pack does have an alpha male, alpha being the first letter in that alphabet, but there is also an alpha female wolf in the pack. They lead together & while yes, since wolves don't use human language, there is sometimes a physical conflict between wolves, they know the difference between true violence & an expression of hierarchy, & because they use their bodies to communicate, a lower wolf will act submissive but it doesn't have the same meaning as what humans mean by the word & concept. Furthermore, if any wolf in the pack acted the way human men who think of themselves as alpha males, they would be driven away from the pack because the pack works together as a family, even though there is also a heiarchy.
You should respect yourself for not being so fragile that your entire world falls apart because a single woman is not interested in you romantically. You should respect yourself for being capable of hearing no & then not altering your behavior towards a woman because now you're hurt or angry about it.

Huh?

Great! I am proud of you. There is a saying that goes, " In life, we must choose between two pains. The pain of action or the pain of regret. And the pain of regret last a lifetime." Now it would seem a little less scary next time you approach!

Good example for the quote of mine…”It’s better to know than to wonder - Phillip Lambson
[–]goldenhunter55 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes it's just in my heart i need to know.. a risk must be taken.
[–]cinder_16 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
I needed this. My fucking co-worker is leaving and I haven't had the balls to approach her. I tell myself that it's because of me working at a place where there's a heavy concentration of my very religious community + the entire "don't sh*t where you eat" phrase - but in reality, I'm just a pussy.
[–]goldenhunter55 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
You are not a pussy mate... just plan before hand you could DM her and tell that you wanna tell her important subject. And just express your feelings. This was not my first time telling a girl i liked her TBH. it never gets easier ... I just tell myself that i will never be 100% ready and the world will not wait on me to be ready.
[–]goldenhunter55 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Also don't shit where you eat is a very bad mentality.. stop viewing attraction like a taboo You're a man it's your right to want a woman by your side.
[–]cinder_16 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Thanks for this man. You have no idea how much this means. I’ve always been heavily (negatively) affected by this taboo. That it is immoral for me to want a woman and even try. Wtf.
Plus this post is about you, man. I look up to the fact that you handled it in such an awesome manner. Great job.

Don't shit where you eat
[–]goldenhunter55 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I was thinking the same but nah.. dude i am ok with that maybe she could have liked me back and things would've gone great. I didn't want to spend my days thinking about confessing or no.

So is the work eating and dating shitting 🤔
Or is dating eating and work shitting 🤔

Good attempt. Brush it off and don't approach her unnecessarily.
In the future you may want to look for more signs though that she is interested in being asked out. Like keeping her engaged with non-work topics. If she giggles, smiles, and looks at you in the eyes she might be interested. You've just revealed your intent with a girl at your work so now it makes it harder to ask out other woman or you look too desperate or like an office hound (assuming you work in an office).

This right here fellas

Best thing with work is to:
wait til one of you quits
increase her interest until SHE askes you out, or askes to come along if you mention something in passing
[–]Natural_Green888 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I wish i had the courage to ask out a male coworker. Ive been subtle about it, so either a) hes not aware im interested or b) hes not interested. Go OP!
[–]goldenhunter55 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Definitely go talk to him. And make him chase you a lil bit.. Don't over do it tho. You have value yourself. If he is good for you he will come around.

I once asked a girl at work out, and she instead screenshot my proposal (it was through Snap) and told me “she doesn’t date co-workers”.
No worries I can respect that, but why take a screenshot? I knew she did that as a thing to gossip over, so instead I blocked her on everything afterwards and never talked to her again other than anything strictly work related.
Turns out she was a lying cunt, I overheard her talking about how she fucked one of the recruiters at the company.
I’m so glad I’m out of there.

That’s the spirit! 👏🏻 Fortune favors the bold! From now on make sure to not to be weird around her, don’t hide in the corner or avoid looking at her. Just be yourself. She might even changes her mind. 😉 (this is from a girl’s perspective)

Don’t be hopeful, why are you wasting time on this chick
[–]Rasfen -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes my friend but there is a saying, don't shit where you eat!
[–]Vladtepes84 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Never shit where you eat, do not approach girls where you work, DO NOT!
[–]Agusmarvel96 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I had something similar! I got rejected by a girl (she told me "we will see" when i invited her to drink something) and i left very proud of myself! Is this the kind of feeling you got too?
I felt like i lifted something off my chest. And like a true man who purses what he wants.

Good mindset to move on but wrong way to approach. Did you just ask her to go on a "date"? or even worse... did you just flat out tell her you like her? Please tell me you didn't do that.
Girls don't like that bro, it comes off as extremely needy. She could have been attracted to you but that goes out the window in the blink of an eye when you say stuff like that.
You should be flirting and building interest then say something like "I'm going out for drinks later, wanna join?"
