Let it die and pop in once next week to confirm still on the night before
[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yeah thats what I was thinking. Guess I wont respond
If I'm her it makes me overthink not interested lol
I kinda was on this hill with another girl who said she was going on a ski trip and will text me next week and I said ok let me know. She just texted me after like a week checking in. I am shocked but still rly interested in seeing her so I guess its the move
[–]backintoit21 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah that’s surprising she checked in. They usually say that and want you to text a week later. Good sign that she did.
IMO with texting and stuff it’s always safer to err on the non-needy/simp side. Keep it simple and get it in.

Don't text her happy new year ffs. On that day your phone should be so cramped up with conversations of close people (closer than a random match) that it shouldn't cross your mind to text her like that.
It's not about being a dick, ofc you can wish her a happy year whenever it comes up casually. However the way I see it "remembering about her" gives off needy vibes.

Our phone should be “cramped”? I got a problem lol. I have no friends and the only person that has wished me happy birthday in three years was my mother😂
[–]kbecel 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
You sir, need more friends and acquaintances
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Never really had friends my whole life, kinda just always been a outcast. I enjoy my alone time, and due to past friendships I have bad experiences that force me to be afraid to pursue friendships. When it comes to girls, I can usually get some if I try, but I as a person just can’t make lasting friendships
[–]kbecel 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
So, change that. That's unattractive both for women and men. That kind of person starts calling himself SIGMA as a coping strategy.
I have a lot of acquaintances, really a lot (I'd say 1000+) but only have 2 really close friends. Do I care I don't have more friendships? No. But I'm always meeting new people

Honestly most of the time I don’t mind it. Most people bother me. I was always smarter then every one of my high school friends and when I finally tried to have serious conversations with them about slowing down on drugs and alcohol they kicked me to the curb. Oh well. Ignorance is bliss I guess. I’m still nice to everyone and can be really social if I’m in the mood and have a few drinks, but otherwise I prefer being alone. Though there are days when it hits hard and I get pretty sad

Something cheeky and relatable by the start of next week, like "what a weekend, I won't let you get me drunk on friday"

as a girl don’t let it die but don’t keep it 24/7 and boring.
I would like a text everyday and a convo about something funny, ease up before the date get a little personal.
But don’t text all the time and feel clingy
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Everyday? Why would I text her before New Years lol?
[–]glitchb4by 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
why not if ur interested in her? don’t text her if u don’t feel like it i’m not saying u have to text her at exactly 00 but u can like ask earlier what’s she’s up to this NYE or whatever but it’s up to u what makes u feel comfortable :)

Lmao I don’t know why this post got a few downvotes, I agree too. It’s how the game is played. You definitely gotta keep the tension rising to keep her engaged and excited enough
[–]Canadian-Seductioner -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Do not let it die. Continue the conversation or else she will forget about you and flake/ghost.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Lol what the hell am I suppose to say
I was thinking just to say happy new years saturday and asking how her night was. thats it
i have 3 other dates lined up but this is the one im really into. texting is exhausting
[–]Canadian-Seductioner 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Maybe not this exact conversation, but you need to maintain the attraction over such a long period of time. In a day or two, ask her how her week is going. Have a conversation based off that.

I am in this same situation. My date is next Wednesday. My plan is to text on Sunday asking how her NYE went since we talked about what we are each doing already. Then I’ll text Wednesday to just say I’m looking forward to meeting her. We haven’t met yet so I’m not getting roped into long text conversations prior to meeting.

OP, why are you scheduling your dates so far out???
i said saturday but she asked for next friday or saturday
have other dates but only care about this one. i kno how it works. hate this lol
[–]eyesopen1111 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Saturday is prime time, so it’s expected that she's booked up. Good on you for going for the gold, though. (And it sounds like you’ve got yourself a cutie)
Still, it’s better to have a sooner lunch date, if possible. Bonus: If you are compelling enough, she may shag you for dessert at lunch or she may open up her Saturday for you and bump the other guy. Find a way to share space with this girl before the big date.
What's she into? Where are you going to take her?
[–]WolfKina 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think it's good to have a conversation for getting to know her better before the date, to flirt and create confort with her. In my experience, girls will have more disposition to the date (and not flake) if you take the time to create a connection.
Good luck!
I have felt this tension too many times this year, before I finally found a relationship that feels promising (started dating at the end of July, so going on 5 months, after 7-8 dates with others between Feb to Jun).
The texting aspect of the dating game is annoying and draining for sure. The honest truth is, if the vibe is right, you really won’t have to second guess yourself. No matter how much you may like a person or want it to work out, if you’re tryna win the game playing with basic rules, she’s gonna get bored and leave.
You have to differentiate yourself to stick around. Feel confident to break a couple social rules and always approach with the mindset that you really NEED her, but you want her.
I’d really want you to emphasize discussions that are unique to the bond that y’all have. Like about High school, things in college, of what you already talked about. You’ll also want to have deeper discussions earlier on, because people aren’t down to waste their time and energy on wasting around.
Before the first date, I think it’s pretty dope if you could get a call/facetime with her. If you guys are texting a good amount, just be like “hey do you wanna just call, I don’t want to just text” or something that shows good initiative. The type of girl who are probably looking for (ready for a serious relationship) will appreciate that and respond comfortably.
Though I did mention finding common ground with past topics, I’d want you to transition towards future goals and plans. Seeing where she’s headed in life and if y’all are on a similar timetable. Maybe not full force with kids and stuff, but if it naturally comes up, it’s fine. Though to be fair, my girlfriend and I are pretty future oriented people while simultaneously finding each other joyful in the short term.
If you’re encouraging, funny, and overall a bright spot of her day, you’ll have a really great luck on that first date. Once you get to that point, and if y’all vibed hella up to then, a romantic gesture would be allowed. Like a single rose (not a bouquet) and a kiss at the end.
So essentially 1. Use this extra time wisely, don’t make it feel like you are yearning for her, but use it to set yourself up for a better first date. Don’t limit yourself to saying “this has to wait after the first date. Ideally initiate a call sometime soon to make her feel more emotionally connected and build up comfortably/interest before the date.
Stand out from the rest with your discussions. Use the knowledge of your shared experiences and basic social media skills (who she follows, what she shares) to learn about her priorities and subtly steer the conversation into that. Also make things funny and unique with talking about hypotheticals that involve her going over her thinking process and explaining things about herself. Like asking if she’d want to fight her favorite tv show character or date one of the avengers. Or the Animal/Color/Water quiz (google it if needed) that goes over her basic personality and interests.
Get to the deeper stuff in a quick but natural way. Talk about life plans, love languages, and schedules to see if there is a path for a shared future. There might not be, and that’s ok. There also might need to be some topics you’ll have to get used to and compromise on. Those serious conversations can show maturity and she’ll respect you more with your wholesome direct communication.
But to close, don’t get caught up in doing things right or wrong. If the vibe is right, she’ll ignore smaller mistakes or forgive you for it.
Best of luck man.
