This. If you transmit genital herpes to a random girl and/or your future wife she could end up giving infecting her baby if given birth vaginally, which leads to herpes encephalitis which has a death rate of 70% if untreated.
Herpes is no joke. Always inform. Babies doesn't have a closed blood-brain barrier that's why its absolutely horrific and dangerous for a girl to have herpes without knowing it. They should never give birth vaginally

Shit bro, that sucks to hear. Herpes is as much of a game-killer as being a fat, short dude who plays video games all day.
You absolutely do need to inform your potential partners about your herpes before you have sex with them, but you need to be aware that the majority of them will not want to do it with you out of fear.
Yor best bet is to join that dating app/website dedicated to matching you with other people who have herpes too as they're the only ones who will really accept your condition and be willing to sleep with you. It's sad, but it's true.

Herpes viruses are extremely common viruses that affect almost everyone at some point (chicken pox, shingles, and mononucleosis for example). There is a significant stigma against individuals with herpes, although the majority of adults have it. There are often no symptoms, with approximately 1 in 4 American women currently infected with Genital Herpes (HSV-2) (2).
Up to 80% of all people have Oral Herpes. (1)
Condoms do not prevent transmission. (3)
Furthermore, more than 80% of people with HSV-2 infections have not been diagnosed. (3)
The CDC does not recommend routine testing because it would cause millions of adults to know their positive status, and that would severely impact their mental health due to a constructed and perceived stigma. (4)
However, we should all make an effort to better understand the virus and how common it is. If you are sexually active, you have more than likely been exposed to Oral or Genital Herpes.
Raising awareness on this topic will hopefully bring us closer to a vaccine (several in testing) and a better informed public.

You are mixing up different locations of herpes now, genital herpes is dangerous for women to have without knowing. If you give birth vaginally you have a high risk of giving the baby herpes which becomes herpes encephalitis. 70% death rate if untreated.

You can transmit herpes despite active outbreak or not, although much better circumstances if you dont have an outbreak. There is a reason you wont be allowed vaginal birth if you have genital herpes, unless you're put on medication before.
Leave it untreated and you have a 70% mortality rate with herpes encephalitis. Not everyone gets it, but is it worth the risk? If the baby does survive the neurological outcome is a lifelong problem for many kids

It happens thousands of times per day. 25% of all American women have HSV-2. Your line of thinking (making it like HIV) is completely incorrect, with all due respect. 80% of people have HSV-1 which can also be transmitted to the genitals.
With 25% of ALL women having it, and less than 1 in 100k births having a fatal complication, what does that tell you? The stigma that is promoted by people like you is exactly why I'm posting on Reddit. Have a good one and don't ever kiss anybody, ever, 80% have HSV-1.

There are actually some places where it is illegal not to disclose a known std infection. When you say most people don’t disclose, I presume you are talking about those who don’t know they are infected. If you know you are, you have an obligation to disclose.
Herpes is not a big deal for most people in the population (stigma being worse) but it can be a big deal for some people. I look like a normal healthy person but I take an immunosuppressive medication that puts me at higher risk for complications from hsv viruses. In fact I got shingles recently as a young person. Don’t presume to make the decision for someone else that “herpes isn’t a big deal” - you don’t know what they might have going on and it’s horribly unethical to make that decision without letting them know

Is she modest , friendly, warm, does she wear dresses and skirts with bright colours, classy and not weird trendy expensive fashion, wear less makeup and instead uses more of skin care products, eat healthy, know how to cook good, take care of her weight, her hair, has good posture, does yoga, meditation, lady with etiquette, she talks acts walks elegantly, is she good to others ,loves kids, family oriented, loves mama and papa, like to read literature. Or does she curse, gossip, have lot of male friends, fucks lot of guys, have any sign of self-harm like smoking, having any part of her body pierced ( except for earlobes) have tattoos, like to drink alcohol and beer... etc etc Always feel positive my man. Yes and No. If OP only had genital hsv, he could still get the other strain type, oral or genital. And yes, a person with hsv in that region has a biggest concern with catching hiv due to the breaks in skin. To prevent from catching stds, you shouldn't shave prior to sex, should always wear protection, and spend time actually looking at what you're about to play with. The flip side of the coin is that an astonishingly 90% of the world population has one or both strains of hsv and aren't aware. Why? Bc we don't test for it readily, people are exposed as children who put things in their mouths or give kisses to people or other kids, and our tests are inaccurate. The virus also stays dormant in most people for most of their lives, so they have no idea and believe they're negative, just to create stigmas of others. What about guys and HPV? How many people give blowjobs yet guys can't get tested for a virus that they can pass on? Kind of crazy if you think about it, but people only freak out when it suddenly involves themselves. What you could do - besides always wearing a condom that fits (and putting it on using clean hands and clean technique), and being more choosy about your partners, would be to take your antiviral as a suppression therapy to prevent outbreaks and wait to see how often you still, if ever have them. Always assume the person you're about to have sex with has something. There are 30+ known stds, and any person who might show you a panel or say they're "clean" (lies) are only tested for maybe 12, max. So, suit up. There are many other viral ones out there you can still catch and those are lifelong. Others can be silent and still destroy your wellbeing. Your main concern now is hiv if you're going to be working on your "game." I think this was a chance wakeup call for change. If the talk is what you seek to avoid, then know there are dating apps out there for people who also want to get that out of the way ahead of time. It might be a good place to help sort through the rage and helplessness you're feeling. Sex education in this country and around the world has really failed. Even most of your medical practitioners are ill informed about stds and are not people to get advice from unless it's what they work in (health clinics, infectious disease).

I was googling about STD and came across that transmitting an STD can be illegal. You can get fined and jail sentence depends on the law in your area. No. That only applies to life threatening STDs such as HIV/AIDS or removing condoms without consent( unwanted pregnancies). Herps is considered a manageable condition with antiviral and vitamins.

Long story short..I had a same night lay and ended up catching genital herps ( common std) I went to my doctor and he gave me antiviral medicine to heal my outbreak.The more research I do the hard it is to accept that it’s a lifetime disease.
A lot of people have some form of herpes so don't be too hard on yourself.
But it can have an impact on a woman's risk for cervical cancer so you should definitely avoid being quite as free about casual sex as you might have been in the past because you ought to inform people before it gets to that point.
It doesn't mean you can't have casual sex but it does change what ethical behavior in pursuit of casual sex looks like for you.
From my research I know that antiviral medicine lowers chance of spreading. My question is how would I proceed when I start gaming again? Should I let girls know that I have genital herps before I have sex with them?
You should inform people, definitely.
I used to know a girl who jumped guys all the time, without protection. She has herpes and her level of disregard for other people's health was staggering and reckless.
