Shit bro, that sucks to hear. Herpes is as much of a game-killer as being a fat, short dude who plays video games all day.

You absolutely do need to inform your potential partners about your herpes before you have sex with them, but you need to be aware that the majority of them will not want to do it with you out of fear.

Yor best bet is to join that dating app/website dedicated to matching you with other people who have herpes too as they're the only ones who will really accept your condition and be willing to sleep with you. It's sad, but it's true.

Herpes viruses are extremely common viruses that affect almost everyone at some point (chicken pox, shingles, and mononucleosis for example). There is a significant stigma against individuals with herpes, although the majority of adults have it. There are often no symptoms, with approximately 1 in 4 American women currently infected with Genital Herpes (HSV-2) (2).

Up to 80% of all people have Oral Herpes. (1)

Condoms do not prevent transmission. (3)

Furthermore, more than 80% of people with HSV-2 infections have not been diagnosed. (3)

The CDC does not recommend routine testing because it would cause millions of adults to know their positive status, and that would severely impact their mental health due to a constructed and perceived stigma. (4)

However, we should all make an effort to better understand the virus and how common it is. If you are sexually active, you have more than likely been exposed to Oral or Genital Herpes.

Raising awareness on this topic will hopefully bring us closer to a vaccine (several in testing) and a better informed public.

bro honestly this is kinda inevitable when youre getting better at game. sure most guys who strap up every single time wont have issues but if you have hundreds of notches chances are you have it and dont even know it yet. the stigma is wayy worse than what it actually is and if a woman has it in pregnancy they can just take a perscribed antiviral during childbirth. also like 1 in 6 people have it and only like 1 in 50 men can get laid on a regular basis so chill.

I was googling about STD and came across that transmitting an STD can be illegal. You can get fined and jail sentence depends on the law in your area. You probably should tell your future partners it to avoid legal trouble. Vice versa, I am curious if she is responsible for anything legally at this point?

Long story short..I had a same night lay and ended up catching genital herps ( common std) I went to my doctor and he gave me antiviral medicine to heal my outbreak.The more research I do the hard it is to accept that it’s a lifetime disease.

A lot of people have some form of herpes so don't be too hard on yourself.

But it can have an impact on a woman's risk for cervical cancer so you should definitely avoid being quite as free about casual sex as you might have been in the past because you ought to inform people before it gets to that point.

It doesn't mean you can't have casual sex but it does change what ethical behavior in pursuit of casual sex looks like for you.

From my research I know that antiviral medicine lowers chance of spreading. My question is how would I proceed when I start gaming again? Should I let girls know that I have genital herps before I have sex with them?

You should inform people, definitely.

I used to know a girl who jumped guys all the time, without protection. She has herpes and her level of disregard for other people's health was staggering and reckless.
