What exactly do you want her to say to that? She's talking, making time, accepted a coffee date. You need her to say in advance she'll put out? Over the POSSIBILITY you pay for a coffee? why men fail
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She only needs to reply with "I'm serious" or "no I'm not". But I understand your point, I thought that it might put her off that's why I came to Reddit lol
[–]YouLoveYouLoose 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It sounds like she is intrigued which is why she said yes and is wanting to find out more... don't shoot yourself in the foot asking straight off "are you attracted to me?" It looks insecure. You have already past the first hurdle so have fun on the date, keep it light and then 2/3rds in or towards the end, tell her you find her very attractive and that you hope it's reciprocated, giving her the opportunity to tell you she is into you.
I'll keep that in mind on the date, thanks for the advice

Hell nah. If she wasn’t that into you she wouldn’t have agreed going for coffee with you. Also asking her if she’s into you is a turn off. Stop validating girls, you’ll scare her away. Texting is for logistics only fyi.

"Texting is for logistics only" Well said

She is agreeing to meet you for coffee. She likes you.
One way to ensure she loses interest is to get paranoid about whether she does like you.
Go in with the expectation that she does like you like that. Even if she doesn't yet, she will begin to if that's your attitude. Keep up the flirting, but never try and get her to sign a contract of 'I like OP'.
Girls love the mystery and probably don't know many of the answers in their own head. Lead the coffee date, compliment her a bit and you'll probably get some in return. Once it is finished, suggest that you do something which is unquestionably a date.
At this stage she owes you nothing. If that's hard for you to come to terms with, you'll find it difficult in the real world. You are both agreeing to spend time together, you are both investing something into this.

If she's going on a coffee date with you, she's into you.
There's a few women out there that will try to do a fancy dinner for a free meal, but you can't do that with coffee.
[–]SecretsAndSin 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Absolutely you should tell her your expectations before wasting her time. Lol she gave you her number, has texted and video chatted with you, and has agreed to spending time alone together with you in public. The purpose of which is to get to know someone to find out if you like them or not, btw. If you want someone who will just have sex with you whether they want to or not, go pay a professional sex worker for their services. Maybe don't treat women looking to date men of substance like they are unpaid prostitutes good only to serve your unrealistic expectations.

I'm actually celibate for religious reasons and she told me she is also. My expectations is that I'm looking for someone interested in relationship. I understand if she doesn't like me after the first date but like I said she needs to be open to a relationship. But I understand the point you are making. The same can be said for some women trying to get freebies off men like they are the bank of England. The problem is you don't know who those women are. I can see how asking her how she feels can put her off tho that's why I came to reddit.

Aahhh well that is a different question altogether, then.
But my question is that I was thinking of maybe asking her if she is attracted to me and tell her that I don't want to waste my time before we go out for coffee
You asked if you should find out if she's attracted to you before she's even had the chance to meet you in person (before you would deign to spend a cent). My answer to that question still stands.
Your new question... if she is looking for a relationship, is a much more reasonable question to ask. It surprises me that you two have discussed your mutual celibacy but not your basic reasons for online dating, but if you have not then ask away before the date! I'd be interested to know what other reason you might think she has for being on an online dating app. If she's said she's celibate then she's probably not looking for hookups.
Btw... not sure your age range, but as a more mature dater myself, I always pay for myself on the 1st meeting. After that I do not assume a man will pay. We talk about it. I don't want to use or be used any more than any man does.
We're both 20 so I wouldn't say we are exactly mature lol. But thanks for the advice anyway.
But you're right I didn't even think that she hasn't even gotten to know me in person. I guess maybe I phrased my question wrong.
As for the fact that you are suprised that we discussed celibacy before our reasons for dating. I guess you can't always control which way a conversation goes lol.

I think the issue is you're thinking too much into it. You don't wanna be too pushy to begin with anyway. Its either shes attracted to you or not. Nothing you say (barring something stupid) is going to change that. Personally as I've gotten more experienced with women, I actually don't make the move as aggressively as I once did (although that worked too). Get to know her through basic conversation and most importantly make sure you're certain if you even wanna fuck the chick to begin with. A lot of times you can't know this until you've actually met up for the first time

Bro it’s just coffee. You have coffee and drinks with your friends. Not going to break the bank to see if you like her or not. That’s the cost of trying to find a girl.
[–]TheSunshineMan 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
Don't tell a girl she's hot - just.. don't.
I wouldn't - as good chance it'll put too much pressure on her - and she'll just flake on you - even if she liked you in the first place.
As far as spending a SINGLE CENT - who brought up the coffee date - if her, make her pay.. or just pay your own - if you brought it up - stop asking girls out to public dates - ask the girl straight to your place.
If you're really worried about it, just tell the girl to forget the coffee and have her come straight to your place.

This is terrible advice. Definitely don’t invite her directly to your place. When I pick a date I will shut down a guy who invites me directly to his place, mostly for personal security. Public dates are chosen so we don’t end up meeting some creep…

Rule #1 of Game - never take dating advice from a woman.
I have sex with 100+ girls every year - unless I'm in an LTR - and I invite 100% of every girl straight to my place.
This is a screen to find girls who are DTF - not interesting in wasting my time going out for meaningless coffee or whatever.

Good for you? Would you like a round of applause? Pat on the back for getting 100 girls to sleep with you?
Personal security is seriously why most women pick a public place; it’s us trying not to get sexually assaulted.
If she was the one who suggested a public place, that’s likely why.

U getting them online?
[–]TheSunshineMan 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yes of course.
[–]Odd_Chemical_2066 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
How many times does being that direct work in your favor.?
[–]TheSunshineMan 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I go direct but not as an opener.
Daygame absolutely works - and may even be getting easier as people are starved for attention and not as many people do daygame anymore - all the guys are too scared and only do online.

Definitely agree.
[–]ASAPjunkiee -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
100% agree with that. Bring it up with her and work off that, see if she sees something with you. Don’t spend a single cent! I love that
[–]VeerVansh -5 points-4 points-3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You are right, make sure she's interested in you before taking people out or its just a waste of money and time
[–]MasterofMiami 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Don’t bring market norms into social norms. If you don’t want to spend a cent, do what others suggest and invite her straight to your place. Otherwise almost no girl worth your time will agree to commit to sex before you even met - imagine how weird you could end up being. She doesn’t know you’re normal yet, so she doesn’t wanna promise anything and is gonna be weirded out if you try to get her to soft commit to things before meeting in-person
