I think in this situation most of it comes down to eye contact and suggestive questions. If you talk about the weather, let her know you think it’s cold. Most of the time she will agree. Then say “come closer to me, I can block the wind out”. It then gives her the chance to move closer. I also had the bonus of the dog lead. I kept deliberately getting the dog tangled in my legs so she would have to untangle it. It meant that we were passing the lead back and forth and ended up in a lot of hand touching which made her more comfortable. She also got so close that by the end her thighs and legs were pushed up against mine because she was cold. She also said she just wanted to keep talking to me because it was relaxing for her . Which is when I told her to just go for It and come rest heard head on me. She will then say something like “that’s better” or “I’m comfortable now” and then you give a funny compliment “your hair is so beautiful even when it’s blowing in my face” or “_____ your hair smells too good, I’m hooked”. You can then add more touch by massaging her head or moving her blowing hair out of her eyes and face. She will appreciate this gesture and will the likely add more touch herself now She is comfortable with it.

Ask about random topics. Joke about how boring the pandemic is. Or “I’ve actually completed Netflix 7 times now”. She will laugh and respond with “no way, me too”. Which also leads to; “we should watch a movie sometime”. Her “great idea, I can’t wait”. Me “yes, but who’s in charge of snacks?”. Her “I am snack god”.... just talk about things that seem boring but relatable. And she will most likely keep talking.
