Befriended a gay guy at a party on New Years. I ended up banging his best friend (a girl) who was also there.
When me and her were going to fuck he did the mother hen thing until he saw it was me she was going with. He gave her his blessing (aka didn't cock block me to stop her from banging a douche or w/e) and I got laid.

I get a laugh out of girls that fall for my brother because he's gay. Plenty of people say we look alike, and this works because these girls subsequently come to me for what they can't get out of him. I don't usually hang out with my brother in social situations, but I can guarantee this happens every time we do. He tells me that I should go to a gay bar with him because plenty of gay guys will bring 3-4 heterosexual girls out with them, and that these girls never end up doing much the whole night but nag. I don't doubt him, but I just don't want a bunch of dudes hitting on me.

Just go for it, sounds like it'll be a fun time. I wouldn't be too worried about guys hitting on you, it'll give you a healthy appreciation for what girls go through when they go to any bar.
