I did lots of cold approaches in college. Especially if you go to a big school. Its hard in certain environments (i.e., frathouses) but a good thing about college is that it automatically gives you a certain amount of social proof (i.e., you made it to college).

I'd say on the contrary - the little social proof that getting into a good college gives you means very little when surrounded by thousands of people who can boast the exact same achievement. In college more than anywhere you must differentiate yourself in ways other than academic achievement

Get in tight with the fraternity brothers. You don't have to join the fraternity to become friends with them.

sigh and now countless newbies will read this and decide to do no approaches because some guy on the Internet said something that gives them an excuse.
Honestly I call bullshit. I'm 23, started doing approaches at 22. If you have solid inner game, Age means nothing. Asking your age or a girl reacting to your age can be seen as another form of shit test. She says your too young? Do classic push pull, tell her she's right and she's too old. Vice versa.
Age means fuck all. I'll argue younger than 18 it's even easier to build social proof. Around 17 I started to do things which were weird but I felt comfortable doing. Guess what? I got more attention because I subconsciously was saying I give no fucks (read confidence)
At the end of the day theory is theory. You won't know whether advice is appropriate or inappropriate until you get some field experience. Get out there and do some approaches. Look at what worked and what didn't. Calibrate. Rinse and repeat.

Going to have to agree with this. I'm 20 and in school, last year a buddy and I went to a bar about an hour away from school. Crowd was definitely older than me, late twenties early thirties. I had women all over me. They really got off on me being much younger (youngest woman I talked to all night was still 6 years older than me). You just have to be mature and confident. Don't take any shit about your age, if they say something about you being young just fire back (sarcastically) about them being "old".

Either this is a troll answer or its simply the fact you have no idea what you are talking about. Especially in the time between 20-23 i always had older(from 5yrs older to 12yrs) girlfriends or hook-ups. When you are younger (men) you have girls around your age, the older you get the less age has a meaning(older or younger).
Not only that you have no clue what you are saying nor do you give out proper support, you promote limiting beliefs!
