When it comes to others, it's really learning whose opinions you value and which ones matter to you. The concept of "not giving a fuck" is a tricky one. If we truly believe that we do not give a fuck about other's opinions and write them off as "lower value" or "dismissive", then we are ignoring the possibilities that the other person might have something valuable to say that could change our lives for the better.

I think keeping an open and critical mind is an important skill to have, both personally and socially. You will be exposed to many opinions that will contrast with your own set of beliefs, values, and assumptions, but at the end of the day, you have to decide which ones are worth giving your thoughts and attention to. As you gain more experience interacting with people and doing the things that matter to you, you will develop your own opinions and identity, and it will be much easier to filter out other's opinions and take in the ones that align with you, or are beneficial to you. However, always do try to keep an open mind and try new things.

Guys, be honest with yourself. Say and do the things that you want to. In life, you have all these amazing opportunities and you will lose out on them if you don't take them. As one of my favorite YouTubers said, "rejection is better than regret. I can handle rejection, but what I can't handle is regret." I don't want to regret the opportunities that I didn't take. Regret will hurt a lot more than rejection because we wonder about "what if" rather than "okay, what's next?", and that shit lingers until you do something about it.

Incidentaly, I started using some phrase that is almost the same as this one: "Does listening to them have helped you in life?".

2 days ago I had one of the happiest days in my life. I enjoyed every fucking second of that day, I thanked God for all the Blessings that I have and forgot about what I don't have because some day, I will get there.

Whatever your goal is, just give a Fuck about the things that matter to you, don't give a fuck about them because you will never really matter to them. Not giving a fuck is one of the secrets to succeed, and they don't want you to succeed. Soooo fuck them ;).

This is one of my favorite lessons.

Learning to not give a fuck by only caring about the opinions of those who matter to you. My dream is to join the USMC after university and become an officer or go the Recon route like all the former operators I know are suggesting I go.

Peoples opinions have become very irrelevant to me, and I've become much more stress free when I've only come to care for the opinions of those I actually respect. Military officers, special operators, CEO's, brilliant authors, scientists, etc.

I've put so much focus onto my goal that the opinion of this cute girl at the gym asking what my goals are and scoffing doesn't matter. The opinion of this guy bad talking my goal over the internet? Doesn't matter, he hasn't accomplished anything I want to accomplish. The opinion of the military officer or high ranking enlisted man? Hell yeah. The opinion of these anti-military guys? No.

I've learned to focus so much on my goals, both academically and in terms of fitness that all the other stuff doesn't matter. That celebrity that shunned military men? Cool. The kids stomping on that flag? Cute.

I've taught my friends to see this the same way. I have a friend who wants to become a musician and pursue his dream in California. I taught him to stop giving a fuck what these family members and friends and girlfriends or adults that haven't accomplished what he wants to do are saying. He's going for a carpentry job to pay the bills but passionately pursuing his music career. Learning to value the opinion of those musicians you look up to, and those famous authors who were constantly being mocked over the opinion of that hot girl or acquaintance telling you you'll never make it is awesome. Focusing so much on your goal and others who've accomplished it and that you respect that all other opinions and negativity become obsolete and ineffective against you.

He's now making some pretty cool moves and playing like a badass and is going to start playing at venues pretty soon.

Realize that world is too big, too many things and people have short attention span. You can't be getting their attention all of the time, you are just too boring to keep them entertained for too long. They will see what the fuck you are doing and they will divert their attention on other things. They have their own things to worry about and take care.

Be clear about what you want to do. Be realistic about where you are and how you can get to where you want to be. Be clear about what you need to do in order to get what you want.

I see dudes at the bars alone a lot. Very obvious they have immersed themselves in "pickup" and just go like a pinball from one group of girls to the other, several times a week. I guess I admire their perserverence. One talked to me this week about how he doesn't give any fucks and all that. I told him how obvious it was he was only here for easy pussy and that is very hard to come by. He alienated me by reaffirming how he gives no fucks and tried hitting on my buddys girlfriend.

I get what you're saying, but having absolutely zero fucks to give makes you sad and lonely, unless you're unbelievably rich and your personal relationships are shallow, anyway
