I usually don't mind going out if I have friends, but tonight all my friends my busy, but I didn't want to just stay home and play video games all night, so I just bit the bullet and went out by myself. Now I was incredibly nervous before I left my house, I mean I was even getting heart palpitations and could feel myself sweating. however I calmed down a lot just traveling to where I went. The first place I went to was a Starbucks kind of as a warm-up since it's very low-key, unfortunately, the only girl I found attractive was sitting at a table with every seat around her occupied and I didn't have the nerve to talk to her with other people close to her in a relatively quiet environment but I thought okay that's fine.

The 2nd place I went to (all these locations were in walking distance after the 30 min bus ride) I only talked to one girl, she sat on the stool next to me at the bar and I complimented her jacket since we had the same style but she gave off that "stop talking to me/rude" (literally 10 second conversation) aura and then I noticed a lot of girls there were with boyfriends.

Finally, the 3rd place I went to, I hit my stride, I talked with a girl who was polite and involved, but unfortunately, I learned she had a boyfriend, okay np at least she wasn't rude to me (5 min conversation). Then I talked with another woman who was married and with 2 other friends but she invited me to her table and I got free shots! I had a really great time talking with them because they were fun people (probably sat with them for at least 30 mins-45 mins). Then I saw 2 beautiful women sitting at the bar, excused myself from my table and talked to them, both were very engaging, laughed at my jokes, good eye contact, etc and I was even able to get one of their numbers (5 min conversation). Lastly, I talked with 2 other women at the bar after the group I was with and the 2 women left, and they invited me to a house party, which I went to and also had a great time. Now I didn't hook up with anyone but this was a huge step for me and I'm glad I at least got one number from going out. Maybe next time I'll try a little harder to get the same night-lay lol.

However, my point is I know it's hard going out by yourself, but for me leaving my house was the hardest part, and once you get some (keyword some) alcohol in your system it becomes a lot easier. Also the first time you fly solo will be the hardest, it also gets easier, I can't wait to go out again solo or not. Also, you should always plan to go to multiple places because like with me either the pickings will be slim, or every attractive girl that's there will be with a boyfriend/date. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, and again just try to have fun with this. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask!
