Well then. If someone feels validated from having random guys/girls swipe right on them then I am afraid they have bigger issues than that. It’s also pretentious to think that men don’t use dating apps for free validation as well. Ultimately, a vast majority of people men and women take dating apps lightly. They are either testing the waters or on the fence about actually talking/meeting up with someone from an app. Some who are using to seriously date someone, get burned because they get used for hookups or get lied to due to the “we met online” scenario. The standards you are talking about are usually upheld for people actually dating long-term. The larger issue is how people choose to date and connect in general nowadays. The chasing of instant gratification, vast options, and shallow behavior has turned it into a nightmare for people genuinely interested in finding a partner.

Partially it’s because many people, both guys and girls, are choosing partners mostly on looks and not on the persons overall character.
There’s plenty of attractive people who aren’t all that. They’re mean, talk bad about other people, you have nothing in common with them, etc...
Find someone who seems like a good person and you two enjoy spending time with them, not necessarily who’s the hottest guy/girl in the room.
I’m not saying disregard looks completely but don’t let it be the sole reason you choose to date someone.

It's very likely they will indirectly and unintentionally sabotage your relationship because they don't want you to cheat on or hurt her otherwise. Also, they may isolate her to the point where they intervene in your relationship and make it harder for you two to have fun, hang out and hook up.

It’s also pretty important to have standards too. This definitely ties in with what OP is saying. Make sure you aren’t just desperate and swiping to swipe. It gives girls the validation that they don’t deserve. Don’t be afraid to be picky. Having game doesn’t mean you are having sex with 10 different girls. It means that you can pick who you want because you can get who you want.

I get your point but, there is a difference between being the guy who isn't emotionally reactive or emotionally unstable to shiw her she cant control or manipulate him and the guy who asserts boundaries and teaches her how she is supposed to treat him in a relationship. Because assuming we are talking about a long term relationship situation, boundaries and standards still need to be asserted by you. Not doing that makes you a pushover.
If a girl tries to make me jealous after months of a relationship, I will view her as insecure and lose respect because it shows she has an anxious-avoidant attachment style and needs to manipulate in order to get her needs met. Definitely a red flag.
