Basically, thought the bartender was eyeing me up. Toward the end of the night, I said f it and went for her number. She said she’d give it to me once she got off (about an hour from then). I said I was gonna head out so I’d get it and she could hit me up when she gets off. She was persistent that I wait until she gets off. I refused to give in, so I left without it and said maybe next time. She said she’ll be there.

Was this the right thing to do? From my understanding, it’s usually never a good idea to give in to a woman’s compromise. She may have given me the number at the end, but might have lost respect since I “gave in” to her request rather than held my position.
