[Discussion] Regarding the frontpage TIFU.

The guy obviously messed up there and I agree with most of what you wrote.

One thing I would like to add, the sort of bright side, is I'm actually impressed how he dealt with it emotionally afterwards (the edits part):

-He didn't try to put the blame on her by calling her "whore", "slut", w/e. -Nor did he try to rationalize his own fault by trying to convince himself that maybe there were something shady going on ala "rape" or something. -Heck, he even cut the ties (at least for now) when he realized that its not healthy for him emotionally.

Considering the shitty situation that's pretty damn good and if he learns from this experience in might be good for him in the long run.

I'm not saying this guy didn't royally fuck up and miss his opportunity. But it's clear from how he talks he didn't view her as a lay. He was going for gf material. In that case it worked out for the best. Any girl that goes to a party with someone fully knowing that someone has to leave with them and likes them then gets double teamed by two strangers is not gf material.

This is very interesting for me overall.

First, goddamn I could feel his pain reading that, I don't know how big of a crush she was, but my heart hurt a little after that because I've been there.

Second, to the actually point. I haven't been there in awhile because I haven't put myself in that position for a few years. But I haven't met many girls I like in a few years as well.

So I may not be correct in this mentality, but he should have never developed this strong of feelings for her from the beginning. But we all know that isn't easy at times.

Honestly, the short answer, is once again abundance. When you have abundance, you become less jealous.

In my opinion jealousy is the worst human trait and takes many forms. It's the root of all evil, and abundance can help with that.
