I don't know I say use an observation as an opener noticing things in your environment that the person you are approaching can relate to. Because if you spend most of your time focusing on the perfect opener it will consume your mind making you lose your chance at approach. That's why I believe observations work best because it makes your preset in the moment.

Can work because any approach in the daytime that has calm, cool, and confident will work. More about tone.

Personally, props seem better because it's more controllable. They could change it. They can't change their face: "Yellow Iphone cover" "Purple shoes" "Weird knitted scarf"
