I came to a realisation today. Everything I have known about women in general is wrong.

I respect women TOO much. I venerate women. I can't continue to do this - it's getting me nowhere.

I have never had a positive woman figure in my life. I never had a mother, I went to all boys schools. I'm mid 20s and a virgin - although this doesn't bother me. I feel incapable of bonding with a woman, let alone letting her within my circle of trust.

I asked myself, what do I want from a woman? The answers I struggled to come up with depress me. I don't want to open my life up to someone, I can't fathom living with a woman, let alone the same women all my life but yet I dream of having that perfect family I never had growing up.

Like I said earlier, I (used too before realising) respect women too much. I'm beginning to realise this is because I think I am longing for their validation because I never had it growing up. I always am the nice guy. The nice guy of nice guys.

I am far too emotional with girls. As soon as we get talking, I get sooo deep and philosophical. I reveal too much of my inner self - something I would never ever fathom if I was talking to a male friend.

I just need to unlearn everything I know about women.

I respect them too much, I venerate them too much. I am too nice. I am too emotionally unintelligent around them but yet I cannot imagine letting one get too close to me ie. Breach my wall of trust. I guess this is a defence mechanism I brought from childhood.

Help me Reddit. I've learned so much and realised so much just because of this subreddit.
