I kinda blew an interaction with a girl I've liked for a long time.

I've been getting bolder with her because I noticed signs. Started with some light flirting in our most recent interaction, and she took it well. But then awkward me escalated the flirting into more sexual territory, and she looked offended and defensive by my flirt. Like I objectified her.

With any other girl I wouldn't care and think, oh well, mistakes were made. But I'm genuinely concerned that I may have offended this one, because she's a good one, a kind one. Feels bad getting that "wtf?" offended look by her, but also knowing she may view me as sleezy now.

Oh well. What can you do. Better to overshoot than to undershoot? The interaction was going really good before that with light flirts, and I felt I would regret it if I didn't try to take it further. Now I have to pull back energy way back next time I see her.
