At the library minding my sweet old business when a HB8 walks in. I'm riding high from my confidence of getting a girl's no. yesterday so I thought to myself "Why not?"

She's too good looking. What if she freaks out? What if you fail in front of everyone? What if your talking to her and something falls out of your nose? (Happened to me ONCE, in front of my friend!)

Go to the bathroom, start shaking like I'm Ray Charles coming off crack - Damn it. No,good. This is adrenaline kicking in.

By the look in her eyes I can tell she was either expecting me to do this, or found me attractive. I ask her for directions, she gives me the worst ones possible (I know where the location is). Calm she's still smiling, playfully trying to get rid of me.

"I lied, I think your good looking just wanted to introduce myself."

She melts and starts giggling like she's a Japanese school girl...

More small talk. "Hey, your busy working give me your no. we'll talk later"

She stalls, but she's still smiling. She's got a Boyfriend, so I insist we can just be friends. Nope she's trying to wiggle out of it.

I laugh "hahaha". I wasn't prepared for this!!??

"What don't you trust yourself around me?" - That fire tho

She melts again, and laughs for awhile, that line was so smooth I thought it was butter

Changes her mind

She says she doesn't normally give out her no. Coulda gone on from there, she was getting swayed, still smiling, strong eye contact, heck she only broke it when she was laughing

Me being the fool I am accept defeat and walk away

Its only my second EVER approach and I think it went well, apart from me failing to pick up on her change from "I have a boyfriend" to "I don't normally give out my no."

She soon left, then I saw that Ariana Grande ass and slapped myself for not trying harder, when it looks like I was nearly there..

Next time I will be prepared
