So last night, I had this girl (let's call her Jane) drive out from about 2hrs away to come see me after work.

Now a little background: I've hung out with Jane twice in group settings over the past few months. I got her number about 2 weeks ago and we've been bouncing texts for a while. She is about to move away to NYC (4hrs away from me), and is also a few years older than me (I'm in my late twenties). Our mutual female friend (Jane's best friend from HS) introduced me to Jane, so from the very beginning both of us knew the other is single, and I'm sure I came highly recommended by our mutual friend, which is always good social proof.

Anyways, we went ice skating and had food. I kino'd the entire time whenever possible, didn't really give a damn as to how she responded; just kept it touchy whenever possible. At the end of the night, we were in my building's garage and Jane was about to leave to drive back home (2hrs away, again). She was mid-sentence, basically saying bye, and I just cut her off and ambushed her with a kiss. We ended up making out for a solid 20min.

During this time, I told her she doesn't need to drive home and can stay the night. She kept saying "I need to go home", "where is this going to go?", "long distance doesn't work", "I don't know what I want", "I'm not 25 anymore" etc., all the while moaning and making out with me against the door of her car. I was definitely a little pushy here, which may have been a mistake, but she was very receptive and didn't want to let go of me even when I broke off a kiss. There were a few times when she kept saying "I need to leave", and to which I responded "Ok" and turned to go, but she wouldn't let go of my hand [edit] and so I pulled her back in for more kissing / convincing her to come up to my apartment. So for all intents and purposes this girl had her logical brain and emotional brain at complete odds with each other. This girl is clearly looking for a serious relationship, and her ASD / LMR kicked in hard.

I may be going up to NYC for 4th of July to visit friends. And no, this was already planned before any of this happened, and she knows that, so it's not like I'm going to NYC for her. I'm sure she'd love to see me again, but I don't plan on telling her that I'm going to NYC until I'm actually in town.

So, Seddit, please dissect - what could I have done better, given the circumstances, and what is the next step here?
