A little background to start. I've been reading this sub, studying PUA type stuff, and some TRP over the past year and a half or so. I've gotten much, much better, not only at interacting with girls, but also with general social interaction, and I've become a much better, more attractive person overall (lifting, confidence building, being passionate about hobbies etc.) So thanks to this sub and TRP for that.

Today I went to a soccer tournament as a referee. I've been refereeing for several years now, so I'm very comfortable in the environment. I also realize that it gives me a leg up just because I am in power by default.

I did 3 games. During the last one (girls), I was an assistant ref. In the second half, I got to interact with the attacking right winger a few times. I exchanged a few friendly words with her, and did some very light teasing. I could already tell she was interested: she looked over at me more than normal, and if I looked at her she would immediately look down and/or smile.

Her team happened to be losing 2-1 in the last few minutes, and she scored to tie it. I walked back up the field to get ready for the kickoff, smiling like an idiot the whole time, and I saw her watching me in my peripheral vision. So some pretty obvious interest.

Game ends, the teams high five, then high five us. We exchange a smile.

This was my last game, so if I happened to let my AA get the best of me, I would have just hopped in the car with my dad and gone home.

I walked pretty slow and stopped a couple times while talking to my dad, as I was looking for an opportunity to approach without being in the middle of her whole team and parents. Didn't get it, so we walked back to the snack shack and arrived at the same time. I got a coke, and then decided it was now or never. I saw her with her team about to sit at some tables to eat, so I walked straight over to them.

She had just bought a container of cupcakes, asked me if I wanted one ('hell yes'). I was more concerned with just getting the approach done, as I've never really cold approached a complete stranger before, so I decided to be pretty direct. I asked her if I could borrow her for a minute, she readily agreed. We walked a few steps away and stopped. I stood side by side with her, to avoid seeming overly aggressive, and we talked about the game for a minute. Once there was a lull in the conversation, I just went for it. I told her I thought she was pretty cute, and that I'd like to get her number. She smiled and gave it to me. I told her I'd talk to her later and that I had to go, and we parted.

And that is the story of my first ever cold approach and #-close. I'd never have imagined myself being able to do something like that even 3 or 4 years ago. So thank you, seddit, and I hope you liked the report.

Edit: Going against the usual advice, I had a conversation with her over text for a solid 3 hours. It was actually a really interesting conversation, we both were clearly having a lot of fun teasing and flirting. At the end I told her I'd like to see her this week. She said she didn't have time this week due to soccer "but maybe another time:)". To which I responded "Not maybe another time. Yes or no another time. You seem really cool, but i don't want to be thinking about whether i'll see you again. So do you want to see me sometime, yes or no?"

And she said yes :)
