Hey Seddit, long time lurker, first time poster, just wanting to share my experience today.

So there's this cute girl at uni who I had noticed a couple of weeks ago, and constantly kept trying to figure out how to talk to. Today I noticed she was sitting alone studying during the break, so I walked in (she didn't even lift her eyes to acknowledge my presence) and fought the hardest I could against my approach anxiety, thinking she may not want to talk with anyone since she was alone studying. Then I said screw it and remembered a quote I read here along the lines of "I hope she knows what to talk about, because I sure don't".

So completely out of nowhere I blurted out something about an uni party I had seen her at, and she replied pretty positively, so I figured what the hell and I went over to sit next to her to continue the conversation. We spoke about music, classes & whatnot. Not exactly PUA material, but I'm pretty proud of myself for approaching at all. It didn't hurt that she helped carry the conversation whenever I didn't know what to say, and generally smiled a lot. By the end, we probably spoke around ten minutes, and even introduced ourselves properly (which looking back, I had never really done before when meeting someone new).

I know this isn't exactly seduction material, but I wanted to share an experience that I probably could not have had if it wasn't for this community. Got to meet someone new, and heck, who knows, maybe even a future friend. We'll see.
