I'm definitely a rookie as far as anything in seddit goes. I've never really had great game, and I just got out of a long term relationship so now I'm ready to put myself out there and just learn how to talk to people.

I'm very much an introvert. I don't talk to strangers out of habit. That's one thing I've been practicing on a regular basis.

Anyway, tonight I went out with my core group of friends. There are about 7 of us, guys and girls. I notice this really cute girl, HB7, walking back from the karaoke stage towards her table. She walks right past me and gives me a little smile. All her girlfriends are also fairly attractive.

I'm not really a great conversationalist or anything, but I am an attractive guy, so I think, "What the hell, just go and open on these girls, you have nothing to lose." So I go over and ask what song they are singing. I sit down at their table and general conversation ensues.

I am an employee at a large university, so I assume all these girls are students and I ask the obligatory "what's you're major, what year are you, blah blah stuff" Mostly the conversation consisted of fluff or bullshit college stuff.

The girl that I'm after leaves to pee, and one of her girlfriends asks me how I know her. I say I know her from 10 minutes ago when I asked her what song she was singing.

There was just a little bit of kino when I found excuses to high five here a few times, especially after she sang her song. But whatever.

I leave periodically to go hang with my friends and then come back, but then they all start talking about there boyfriends or guys who are in to them, and I take this as my queue to leave.

I dunno my game was far from being good, but I at least approached which is a huge deal for me. This will hopefully be the first of many field reports. Any advice about what can I improve on?
