One easy way is to just use her name or some variation of it.

Examples that I like:

Get the conversation going immediately. When you are getting her number, text her so you have an established conversation. Even just saying her name or yours is fine. This establishes some phone conversation for her to continue later or you to continue later very easily.
Use a variation of her name or something you made fun of her for. Does she go by a shortened version of a full or proper name? Text her her full name. Did you joke or make fun of her for something? Continue your light hearted joke in your opener.

Idk. Technically you already did "open" if you got her number. My advice would be to sound positive and energetic. HOWEVER, keep your texts short and simple. Don't be the guy sending her 2-3 paragraph texts. That will display too much interest. She'll get scared or bored or feel like she had power over you. That's a no no. Remember, you're the "cool guy who doesn't care if she'll text you or not cuz you have options and a life other than waiting around on her to text you back" guy. Always, always wait for her to respond back and DONT send her a text saying "hey... U still alive?" That kinda sounds needy. Good luck.

i have a GRIP of text openers. some of these are one liners, some are two liners, but the whole point is either to a) separate yourself than the typical shit she gets every second of every day b) depending on whatever you plan is, these can help move the needle forward. i find texting to build up rapport for women over long distances (who you're planning on seeing, of course) work really well.

I always liked "hey".

Girls use it all the time, and if you do it past 11PM, and have established enough sexual interest, there is no need to be complicated. We all know what "HEY" means and lead to.

If you have her number, you should have only got it under the pretex of sexual interest and attraction. If you got her number on the fly, because you didn't have an adequate chance to create such desirable sexual tension, then you need to open her as you think. To do this, "hey" still works pretty good. It's a semi-interested nudge, and chances are, if she's interested enough, she will respond "Oh, hey! what's up, yadda yadda".

Anything that shows a large degree of interest will probably dissuade her unless she has made it a motive of her future probabilities to get to know you, romantically. But most girls have a sexual selectivity and variability of options as to not need the guy making a huge investment. This is of course, base don her perceived notion of self-worth and options (sexual/romantic).
