There seems to be a divide between people saying that you ought to be well put together first vs attempting anyway. I get that if you want an ideal SO, you would want to be ideal too. But for other scenarios I wonder if this would be as relevant. Besides the immediate and superficial standards like getting your appearance sorted out and possessing some game. Is having a good job, a place of your own, a phenomenal social life, exciting lifestyle, socially valuable qualities (better than average humor, wit, confidence, being fun to be around, making people feel good) and so on... optimal prerequisites to success with women?
