Normally I would hate coming to you guys to advice, but I feel like I have no other choice.
I’m kind of a forever alone type of guy. I can’t talk to women, have trouble making friends and am awkward as fuck. All those wonderful qualities assigned to people like me.
Anyway, my problem is that around 10 weeks ago a girl I know online asked me out on a date. I of course said no (Your thinking “Zomg, why did he say no? It is the perfect opportunity to break out of aloneness!”). I said no because I was afraid. I was scared of what might happen and women scare the shit out of me.
Now I know your thinking, “Oh he’s just over exaggerating. Everyone one is scared of women.” Let me give you an example of what would happen when she messaged me. First off I would be having a good day, I always used to have good days. Then she would message me. I would instantly get this feeling of fear and dread centered on my chest which would sort of pulsate. I would then unplug my computer from the internet to ensure that she couldn’t message me anymore. But it would be too late, that feeling of dread would stay with me for the rest of the day, completely ruining what would otherwise have been a nice day.
This went on every day for two weeks. Finally I got tired of having to cut myself off from the rest of my friends whenever she was online and said yes. What followed were the most worry and anxiety filled three weeks of my life. We never really did anything, though to someone like me even holding hands was akin to sex. But during those three weeks I fell for her a lot harder than I should have and when she told me “I’m not ready for a relationship, sorry” the last day of the third week I was devastated. It doesn’t help that she reconnected with her old ex the exact same day.
So for me these past few weeks have been absolute hell. I can no longer even stand to be around her anymore due to the pain the memories of those three weeks. When I’m lying in bed, I cry because I can’t stand sleeping alone without her by me. I hate that I ruined the friendship I had with the one woman who didn’t hate me from the start.
How can I move on? Don’t even bother just throwing out the same “Just go fuck 10 women dude, that fixes all my problems” nonsense. I don’t want to be in another relationship nor do I want to have sex with women (not that I can due to my medical problems). I just want to be able to look at someone with red hair (her hair color) without bursting into tears.
