You can actually be extremely direct as long as you aren’t grabbing at them and ignoring signs they are uncomfortable.

it really depends on the girl. Some girls want guys that they're attracted to to be direct asap. But some girls, even if they're attracted to you, will be turned off by it cuz they don't wanna appear "slutty." So in the case that you dont know which type of girl she is, it'd be safer to start w/ more indirect things to "test the waters" imho. Maybe start by just complimenting her on her appearance or something?

You can do whatever but your chance of success by going full direct from the beginning is going to be very low.
