Okay, here's the deal. I'm well aware of basics of seduction and when I'm comfortable, I usually do well with women, but the problem for me is, as I imagine is for a lot more people, that first approach.

If I'm at a party, had a bit to drink, or not, but it obviously helps, I'll easily walk up to a girl and start talking, usually successfully, but lately, I haven't been to many parties, simply because I don't have any time for them. I see parties as obvious places for people to get to know each other, which they obviously are, but when I'm on a bus, in the supermarket or doing something where I'm not expected to make a connection, I just can't seem to approach a girl, no matter how strong the signal is she's sending. Just yesterday on a bus, this really attractive girl kept looking at me and I could rationalize that she was hoping I would make a move, but this being a public bus, I couldn't do it, simply because it's not something people do.

My conscience has no problems rationalizing every social situation and my social intelligence is pretty good (or at least I like to believe so), but this anxiety is what's always keeping me away from the approach, I'm not sure why, might be the fear of rejection, might be that I'll fuck my self-perception of a smooth talker by stuttering and ruining it, point is, it's holding me back.

So, my hope is that some of you have overcame these problems and will provide some good advice, hopefully a bit better than 'just do it', as I usually get.
