I've been traveling for work and it means I'm in a new town every night. Every night when I check into the motel, no matter how beat up I am from the road, I find the local dive bar and go out to meet people. I get into sets pretty easily with very attractive women, but then things get very beta.

I have no idea what's going on in the scene, what there is to do in the area, or where the evening is going -- so how do I stop just being a tag-along to the group and resume the alpha position I'm used to back home? As it stands, I'm not managing to hold attention/attraction when I'm being so passive, so I'll lose them after an hour or two.
