I'm of the opposite opinion of Dirk - EVERY woman wants to feel safe so I give this one mucho bonus points for phenomenal communication and openness.

As to the OP, it means exactly what it says. Safety, physically and emotionally.

Physically is obviously easier if tall and big but little things like being fearless and confident around her work just as well; open doors, walk her home/to car, walk on the street side of the sidewalk, etc.

Emotionally just means being a rock for her, someone she can come to for anything, keep the mind games to a minimum, establish and nurture trust, etc.

You can make girls feel safe through your sub communications. This involves how good your body language, eye contact, and vocal tonality normally is. If your sub communication is that of a confident man, girls will naturally feel more safe around you.

If you just started hanging out with a girl and you realize that she is not fully comfortable around you, have her spend time with you in low pressure situations. Low pressure situations include her friends and your friends hanging out together, as well as spending time with her in a public settings. Trying to set up a date at your place right away can put lot's of pressure on her if she is not used to being around you.

Another way to get girls to become more comfortable around you is by actually making an effort to get to know her and actually seek to understand where she is coming from. Make assumptions and funny guesses about what she does, where she is from, where she goes to school, why type of a girl she is and so on.
