The way to get outcome independence is to get more outcomes. The more you have the less you care about any particular one.

If you get a box of chocolates, and bite into one and it's coconut, yuck! You hate coconut! You spit it out immediately. How upset are you? ...Not really that upset. Why not? Because you've got a whole box of chocolates with all sorts of different fillings and you can just eat another one.

Now imagine you go to a restaurant and order dinner. If the food sucks, how upset are you? Probably pretty peeved. That's your only dinner, you don't have a second one to eat instead, not without going somewhere else or waiting for another meal to be prepared.

But hey, if you're at a buffet, you don't really care if you didn't like something, you just go get something else. Heck, you're probably not even thinking "I hope this doesn't suck" while when looking at a menu you might really be thinking about the odds a dish won't be very good.

More outcomes, less cares. So what do you do? Go talk to a lot more girls!

Coming from a poker background, I tend to equate it with the idea of not being results oriented. A bet in a given spot might not work out, but as long as it was a positive expectation situation, you should not pass on it. To go further with the analogy, talking to women is basically always a freeroll, as you seldom are risking anything tangible.

Outcome independence means that you do things without worrying about the outcome. In seduction it could mean that while you approach you won't let it effect you if you get rejected, that you are an unmovable rock who is in control of their emotions, you are unshakable. It could mean that you won't let it effect you if the girl you've been dating decides she isn't that into you. It means that you will not panic if things stop going your way, you will be strong and roll with the punches.

It is important because it's strength, it's happiness. Knowing that you can approach women and not give a fuck if they reject you feels really good. Outcome independence is a pillar in the frame of confidence. When you are worried about getting rejected and you approach a woman she can tell. She will test you, and you will fail. It applies to other aspects of life outside of seduction. Be bold in your actions, those who hesitate are doomed to fail. Mistakes made in confidence are easily corrected with more confidence.

What are ways to start being more outcome independent? Work on self respect. Talk to people. Smile. Work on yourself. Exercise. Eat well. Meditation. Commit to learning a skill or art. Try to make people smile. Do not put up with peoples shit. Be true to yourself. Have control of your emotions. Be genuine and sincere, but do not be critical, or negative. Keep a positive attitude about everything.

One thing you asked has not been answered, and that is "why is it so important?"

The most powerful tool in pick up is non verbal communication. If you can get the girl to "tell herself" that you are an alpha male who is socially adjusted and desirable, you win 100% of the time. How do you do this? Women will take your behavior and (even if they don't realize it) analyze it.

"Oh he did A so that must mean B".

This is how opinions and perceptions are formed. By ACTUALLY being outcome independent she will (conciensely or not) get from this that:

You are not needy
You don't feel that she is higher value then you are
You have other options or could pick up other women easily, which hints at alpha male and pre-selection
You don't already have an attachment to her and her looks aren't good enough to win you over alone - who she actually is as a person matters to you
Etc.

Actually being outcome independent and the women recognizing it is very powerful as it causes a lot of positive sub-conscience messages about you to fire off in the women's brain.

It means that you are independent of the outcome of your actions and the actions of others. You don't react/respond with your emotions to anything that may or may not happen, you simply live your life as if it didn't affect you. It could be a good thing or a bad thing, it doesn't matter.

One good way to become outcome independent is to put yourself out there more. The more of something we experience, the more we become innoculated to it, so to speak. If you've never experienced rejection, the first time it happens, you may feel very strong emotions. But if you have experienced lots and lots of rejection, you'll have a better grasp of your emotions as this is not a new experience.

I usually go out with the intention of becoming more attractive through experience. I try to put most of my focus on my sticking points, being pretty self aware of what I'm doing; 'right and wrong'. The way I see it, it helps being outcome independent and self improvement at the same time -- since you're not looking for a close, you're looking to get better at closing.

Start talking to people. Talk to your coworkers, talk to the girl in the reception, talk to your boss, talk to the people you interact with every day. Ask them what they're doing this week, ask about their kids, ask about their dog, hobby, find out what they're passionate about.

In short make it a habit to talk to people just for the sake of talking to them. Once talking to people has become natural to you, you'll find that flirting with that cute stewardess is really not that scary and you can both enjoy it without it being anything more than a 3 second interaction between two strangers.

Great that you asked this. I went out this weekend with the soul purpose of just meeting women, not trying to fuck them. Just to say hi and see where it goes. We ended up meeting 2 chicks who had a lot in comon with my friend and I and they ended up inviting us over to their place to smoke.

The change of mindset was unbelievable how much it helped. I was able to relax and just be who I am when im fully chillin.
