Done about 20 cold approaches and have gotten pretty much all rejections. Decided to ask my friend to observe me on a cold approach, he said I rarely smile and look too serious.

How important is smiling when you approach and talk to random women? I have a buzzed head and beard so I wonder if I look too intimidating if I am too serious. I tend to have a stern look on my face but that’s just my natural expression.
