How Seddit can be improved

Honestly this comes down to the mods not filtering out bad content. As subreddits grow it becomes the mod teams responsibility to keep the content of the sub high quality. The seddit mods need to start deleting posts that are simple questions and do not invoke larger discussion, or try to consolidate them into one thread.

So then... To the topic: How do we improve Seddit?

Perhaps your point is that we should down-vote the one-off focused posts? And up vote the fundamentals, principles, theory, techniques, and practice?

I would personally add down-voting the self-promoting posts (books, coaches, camps, sites, etc.), and even most links that don't include a solid point up front.

Nailed it. Asking us if you should have /not texted a girl after a specific scenario is nonsense. Let go and enjoy your life. If she really likes you she will. You will be happier once you realize you can't control women by specific actions

Do you guys not get annoyed seeing these posts? They offer zero value to anyone reading them, and realistically even OP doesn't get the value he really needs.

No, they don't annoy me. First, I have no control over them and getting annoyed isn't going to change that. Second, I do have full control over one thing - how I react to these posts. Nothing can annoy you unless you choose to get annoyed, because whatever happens it will always trigger an emotional reaction that will affect your reaction, although many people are not aware of this and blame the outside source for what they end up feeling. "He annoyed me." No, on some level you chose to get annoyed by his actions. Period.

I also think noobs asking questions are actually valuabel, because they are all individuals with different experiences, and thus require me to adapt my approach if I want to get through to them on their own terms. Sometimes I've had to reevaluate things I took for granted, because some greenhorn came along with a seemingly innocent and simple question that forced me to think in new ways. I might choose not to respond, but who knows, maybe I'll walk away having learned something new ...

The way I see it, you learn more and more about the overall concepts of the game from individual experiences, right?

Every time I see a post like that, instead of skimming it over, I try to provide the solution which will help the OP with the long-term journey instead of the short-term journey. But I do agree that asking for specific text advice is stupid.

There are a number of advanced guys here. You just have to keep an eye out more them. I bet that if you asked more advanced questions, they will show up (along with the newbs).

The magic pill people are the same people who don't google or search reddit before asking questions. :) Like, the magic pill they need is too specific for google. LOL.

I'd like to see a sidebar help post for self limiting beliefs that includes:

I can't do this because I'm asian/Indian/Black./have a small penis/am too short/tall,old/young, don't have my own place, she's at the gym, she's working at the mall, etc. This way, we could direct the 2 million an 2 posts about them there for help on what their problem actually is.

Amen. I'm by no means advanced or even intermediate, but the majority of guys are depressing and need a lot of work in other areas of their lives before they should focus on picking up women

But there are so many pickup sites on the internet that are heavily moderated and targeted towards one specific dogmatic way of thinking. If you don't like the marketplace of ideas, you can always spend your time on those sites.

Believe it or not, what worked for you may not work for other people. I personally don't like the cargo cult science approach regardless of whether or not people get results. It's possible to think for yourself, do your own thing, and get even better results than you could have gotten with the cult approach.

These posts do annoy me, but they can be valuable.... It's all about the answers; You get to see all the answers and justifications. It's a little rare, but sometimes you can learn something and with added context and visualizations of the situation. Usually when i see these posts i click them, take a quick glance, and go right down to the answers.
