There are two pieces here and they aren’t mutually exclusive.

First you need to be authentic and need to not be desperate. People can smell desperate from miles away. That doesn’t mean you can’t find people attractive and be interested and express it. It means you can’t have that “I’m counting on this I need this”. Live your best life and try to not need girls. The irony here is that guys with more options gets more options.

It’s simple human psychology and it goes either way, what other people want must be desirable.

The other side here is that being earnest with what you think is good. The key is to say it in such a way that isn’t requiring response. You aren’t expecting anything in return. “You have a great smile” in passing and move on having a good conversation. Tell a girl you like her, she’s cute, you want to take her in a date. You can do that and not NEED it to happen. When you are trying to hard and such it comes off be authentic express your interest and if she isn’t interested that’s ok.

'wait 3 days to text back', 'act like you don't care', these are all tricks and will end badly.

Instead of not texting because you're complying with some imaginary rule you should not text because you're living an interesting fucking life. 'play hard to get' or 'act like you don't care' should be because you actually don't care, you're not too invested because you barely know them and YOU DO HAVE other options.

As a woman, I would say, direct and honest. If you play hard to get, you will attract people who tend to have toxic behavior. If you want healthy ones around you, be direct and honest. And work on being the best version of your self for yourself. I can't say it enough.

don't be desperate. that's all. act normal. answer/ask questions have fun. imagine you are standing with dudes that you met. you are standing normally and talking without overthinking right? do the same on girls. they are not other types of species. just you are trying to impress them and it turns out in tryharding. so you should just don't give a fuck. chill and have great talk. becave same as you would becave with your friends or idk. someone you are close with. ofc it's true that woman are attracted to things that they can't get but after some time they lose interest. don't open your cards. make her talk about her self and don't let her know eveyrthing about you. when something is undiscovered in you. she thinks about it and boom you have her interested already. well this turned out long ass text. don't be desparate and be yourself

You always have to take sayings like this with a grain of salt . You can always argue with absolutes . As far as hard to get goes , I’ve had guys that just begged and begged and begged non stop for sex before I even knew their last name , before we were even through first date , too much .. but if a guy doesn’t act very interested I’ll assume he’s not as into me as I am into him .. people are busy so you don’t want to pressure them , but if it’s clear that it’s mutual you know ? I dunno relationships are tricky you want to be your best most self aware self to have the best relationship ? 🤷‍♀️

Flirty and sweet but not always avaliable. Girls usually scan for small little details and vibes and all that. Most importantly be authentic and not desperate.

You sound inexperienced. I’d say be direct because “playing hard to get” takes some dating nuances that I don’t think you have. Also develop some standards for yourself when it comes to romantic partners.

I think what some guys don’t realize is girls prefer guys that are respectful above all. If a guy is not respectful he makes the atmosphere very uncomfortable. If you’re friendly in a respectful way you’ll put the girl you’re talking to at ease. Whereas if you were being a creep or too pushy the girl might be uncomfortable and maybe even scared.

Women want hot men to okay hard to get so they have fun and enjoy the chase. Women don’t chase ugly men nor do they want ugly men approaching them and telling them they like them because now to avoid hurting the ugly dudes feelings they will lie and say “I’m busy or I have a bf” to spare your feelings. If you’re confident with your direct approach women will like it but again you need to be good looking because otherwise the woman is just gonna day no and then laugh at you. So yeah bottom line is be attractive and you can act either way.
